Upon arrival picking up a Doordash order I was greeted immediately ! Which is a big plus for me ! I need to be recognized upon... entering an establishment to let me know about the customer service. Which is only gonna make my food taste even better!Sharkeria and Michelle was friendly and even offered me a sample to taste a piece of smoked chicken for my return. We ordered take out online, got a confirmation email and I was able to track our meal. Unfortunately, when my husband went to... pick up the food there was a sign that said they were closed early due to short staff! How can you allow online ordering if youare closed. We called the store and it went straight to voicemail. I had to call a different number to get a hold of someone.She also said the store is open in her system... Turns out they didn't turn off online ordering when they closed early. Thatmistake wasted our time and money. We were so disappointed that our first experience turned out this way. Love the ribs and Brisket. Real smoked meat .only thing I don't like is the dry pulled pork and their rolls. They should just do... Texas toast or stick with the Kings Hawaiian but stop charging for a 1 roll. The sides here are amazing. The potato casseroleand potato salad my fave but I tried others and they're good as well. I agree with Lauren. I had the same experience. The place is DISGUSTING. How has the health department allowed this to continue?... If u need some help I have a teen looking for a job who would be glad to help you clean up. The food is good and everyone isfriendly but please get the place cleaned up. I just hope I don?t get sick. I guess I shouldn?t have eaten it but my husbandwanted it and I didn?t wanna make a scene by asking for a refund. But I definitely felt uncomfortable with the sanitation issues :(( Read more
We were very disappointed with the restaurant today. We have been coming to this location most Friday's since they opened.... Unfortunately we have not been in a few months due to schedule changes, we have always enjoyed the meal and the restaurant untiltoday. On many occasions while we were there we enjoyed conversations with the owners and enjoyed the family atmosphere. Theplace was disgusting today and we felt uncomfortable there as a family. The sweet tea container looked as though it had notbeen washed in days, and the tea smelled like it had went bad and the ice cream machine had been removed. Behind the counterlooked as if it has not been cleaned and every table was dirty, we had to get paper towels ourselves to wipe off a table so thatwe could sit down. The forks were empty as well as all of the sauces. The trash was rolling out of the trash cans into thefloor. The bathroom was so nasty and trash everywhere in there as well. The employees, once they served us our food went and satdown at the bar at the front window and into the back and gave no attention to the disarray of the restaurant. They wereplaying inappropriate music at a level that we could not even carry on a conversation together as a family with our meal. First time eating at a Dickey's BBQ. Nice staff, cozy "hole in the wall" feel. Had the two meat plate with Polish kielbasa and... pulled pork. For sides ordered mac and cheese and a Caesar salad with sweet tea to drink. Everything was delicious. They haveoriginal, sweet and spicy BBQ sauces. I really enjoyed the spicy and the sweet. Sooo this is our 2nd time coming here just to give it another try. I got the same thing I got last time which was the 3 meat... plate. Got two orders of pulled pork and the brisket. We went at 6pm and maybe they only had scraps left but definitely wasn?t apleasant meal. The brisket was hard and very hard to chew and made my teeth hurt, the pulled pork was dry as well. I put twothings of the sweet sauce on it thinking it would help moisten the meat and it didn?t help. I got tired of chewing and got sickto my stomach from all of the sauce. The portions was small and very disappointing. I let my boyfriend try the brisket and hesaid, ?wow is that the brisket, it?s dry and hard.? At least we gave it another try only to get the same results. Gotta find usanother bbq place because this ain?t it!!! Read more
