I've been to Los Tacos twice (on Saturdays) and the flavors were on point. On my first visit, I dined in with family during... lunch. It was not busy, and I loved the service, peach margarita, birria and guacamole. My son and I liked the guacamole, but myhubby did not. It was well seasoned and had a strong lime taste. (Hubby doesn't care for too much lime) My margarita was great,(not watered down/but not so strong that it was gross) and I asked for it with a Tajin rim! The free salsa and chips were alsonice touch. The beef texture and seasoning were great in the birria and I loved dipping my tacos in their mild (green) sauce.Our meal was affordable too (not to mention the Yelp Check In offer that saved me additional money). On my second visit, I camein during dinner hours. It was busy with the phone ringing consistently and a few tables occupied. There were two employees outfront, and my server and the manager on duty were doing their best to juggle the pick up orders, phone calls and tend to thetables. Customer service did not lack and the food did not either! If anything, it took a little longer to get my food, but itwas worth it. I opted for the four count beef birria and it was so good. They were out of the mild sauce, but I still enjoyedthe meal. I recommend Los Tacos if you're in the mood for birria. The food is authentic and delicious. Read more
If I could, I?d give this restaurant a ZERO. Foodie Be Ware!!!! This would be a NO for 800, Alex. My wife and I ordered shrimp... nachos and shrimp fajitas. The rice was watery, overcooked and salty. The shrimp were undercooked, rubbery and salty. The nachoswere dripping with a sauce or cheese or sour cream or something. We couldn?t really tell. I ordered the Beef Birria Tacos with a side beans and rice. Chips and Salsa come complementary. The drink I believe was a Peach... Margarita. I've never had Birria Tacos and decided to give them a try. They were very tasty, flavorful and a nice meat to shellratio. The beans and rice were yum, yum, yum ????. Needed some food before a long ride home to Birmingham, AL. I wish we had stopped anywhere else. I ordered the chicken mini... tacos. I was asked if I wanted shredded chicken or grilled chicken. I went with grilled. What I got looked weird. It was tinypieces of chicken that looked almost like pieces of ground turkey and it didn't taste like chicken. The tacos smelled likecatfood. I almost couldn't make myself eat them, and I did only eat one and a half of the 4. The rice and beans were reallygood. I'm glad. That's the only way I was able to eat the tacos. We ordered sliced avocado to the side and the pieces were sohard and tasteless. The avocado wasn't ripe. The waitress brought us some more, which was the right texture. She was a nicewoman. Overall, I had a bad experience and I'm still feeling bad remembering the smell of the food, and the bad taste. I stoppedby a gas station and got some candy to try to get the taste out of my mouth. We are on our way home to kansas city and love authentic tacos, saw this place on the highway billboard and stopped. Super quick... service and the pastor tacos were amazing the meat was flavorful and you could tell the corn tortillas were fresh!! The badreviews on here are probably from people that have never had authentic tacos. Read more
If you haven't been here, just go. Order the barbacoa (birria?) Tacos and you will have 0 regrets. They are flavorful, cheesy,... fried, greasy, messy and you can add what you want. I tried it plain, loaded with cilantro and onion, then with the cilantro,onions, jalapeno sauce and dipped in the broth sauce that comes with the tacos. I ate all 3 tacos y'all. I regretted it becauseI was so full but would do it all over again. My grandma got the wet burrito and it was HUGE. Usually she can clear a plate, butnot this time. We will definitely be back. They weren't very busy even though it was lunch time so there wasn't a wait. Theemployees were very nice and answered any questions we have. I feel bad that we been haven?t try this Establishment since we moved to Douglasville because they were GOOD. We happen to order... door dash and the food came still hot which is a Major plus hen we order food. We will be ordering from here a lot now that wehave tried them???????????? Read more
I loved the place. I had a wet burrito and a couple Michelob Ultra beers. The staff was super friendly, very attentive and were... able to take a joke. I highly recommend this little restaraunt. Read more
