I am usually very patient about drive through service these days. I understand the staff shortages. I go to this Martins at... least 2 or 3 times a month, but today I have to say something. I was in the drive through for almost 40 minutes! I watched 3other cars leave without getting the food they ordered. When I got up to the window, I noticed that the employees had zero senseof urgency or hustle at all! One of them was just standing around. Again, I get it (they don?t get paid enough to care), butwow! Read more

This place has become my go to for breakfast on the go. I get a hankering for biscuits and gravy on occasion and theirs doesn't... disappoint. I usually get the steak biscuit with sausage gravy and it's an awful lot of food for the price. I can never finishit in one seating. Their biscuit sandwiches are great and taste like they're homemade. I'm a fan of their bacon, egg and cheesebiscuit. A decent amount of bacon, real eggs, and a lovely biscuit. I can't vouch for this place being healthy, but theydefinitely make up for it by being delicious. Read more

Martins used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I grew up eating here. My family was poor and we never really got to go out... to eat. Martins was a treat for us and has held a spot in my heart always until the past year. The food has gotten terrible. The service is terrible. When we actually are ABLE to get food, it has been stale and cold. The few times we have come back totry and see if they could correct this they have told us they are out of everything we try to order off the menu by 1:30 p.m.and we have had to leave with no food whatsoever. It?s honestly just disheartening and sad. I have tried to give so manychances to fix this after 31 years of coming here, but I won?t be coming back officially after today. If I could give 0 starsinstead, I would. Read more

I really need to know what is making people line up around a very sub standard restaurant. I truly believe good help is hard to... find, but why wait half an hour for food you could get at a homeless shelter, hell the shelter food would be better. Stopcircling a sad business. The clown is much better.???? Read more

When traveling a lot because of the work I do. I really do miss home cooked meals. I always try to find places where the locals... go and non chain food restaurants. I was in Douglasville not to long ago and found Martins restaurant. It literally took me backto my kitchen back home , let me tell you I?m a huge fan of breakfast and this place hit the spot. I really recommend it. If youlike comfort foods that taste like you just cooked it out your own kitchen. Read more

I've eaten here twice in the seven years I've lived in Douglasville, both fairly recently (as of July 12th 2022). I drove past... this place a lot and saw the drive through line wrapped around the building. Figured it had to be good if so many people werewilling to wait that long in a drive through line. I give this restaurant two stars because their biscuits are pretty good, butunfortunately everything else I had left a lot to be desired. The scrambled eggs had a consistency that made me think they werecooked in bulk in one of those large rectangular pans in an oven. It reminded me of cheap cafeteria eggs, or something you getat one of those "complimentary hot breakfasts" at the kinda hotel you stay at for a single night on a road trip. Waffle House'seggs are far superior. Also, the sausage patty I got both times was just bizarre. It was super dry and crumbly, which wasn'tat all appealing. It did taste good, but the texture was off-putting. The sausage gravy was kind of bland, too. Look, I'm notthe best cook in the world, but on my first attempt ever I made better sausage gravy in my cast iron skillet at home. Thebiscuits I made to go with it were comparable to what Martin's offers. I can make better eggs when I'm only half awake in themorning. It's not just about the flavor or what seasonings you use (I don't think Martin's seasons their eggs at all), it's thetexture, too. "Southern cooking" isn't synonymous with "lazy cooking". Southern cooking is supposed to be made with love, butMartin's food just tastes "expedient". I'm not gonna sit in a drive through line that wraps around the building for that. Read more

I love coming here especially for the biscuits. The drive-thru lady although I don't know her name was very nice to myself; my... wife and our grandmother. The only thing for me is the time when you come here. If you're here in the morning there's food butif you wait until the afternoon or when they're getting ready to close you might be out of luck Read more

Usually it?s great but this just not okay? biscuits seem old, gravy is extremely thick and peppery the sausage overcooked and... the bacon undercooked. Highly disappointing since it?s the only thing I really wanted coming home for the HIPAA?s. Read more
