Went there for lunch. Cheese steaks are the best. Manger there is Kai , he is great. Remembered me from another restaurant that... he worked at. Grotto's will do great with Kai working there. He is a real People Person. Read more

We enjoyed the pizza, as we have for decades. I was disappointed by the Margherita pizza. Grotto's uses chopped tomatoes... instead of slices of Roma tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese is grated. And the basil was not fresh. The overall experience wassaved by how good the other pizzas were. Lesson learned, just don't get the Margherita pizza at Grotto's. Read more
The service was great. The place was clean. The fries were tasty. The pizza... Hmmm... When my 15 yr old son passes on a third... piece... that's saying something. It was kind of flavorless. Death by bland. Wouldn't get pizza there again... Maybe a sub ???? Read more
Certified Worst pizza in Delaware .. I stopped in to grab 3 slices of pepperoni and a large coke for my lunch break and wasn?t... concerned with price until they said 17$ lol I let it go because I didn?t wanna be rude but wow .. then the Pizza literallylooked old and reheated with added cheese to cover up how terrible it was made, I can buy a whole pizza at 7-eleven for 5$that?s twice as good .. that?s sad ? this place is robbery and you would think the staff would say hey your about to spend 17 on3 slices how about buying a whole pie ? This place needs to be eliminated and bring back Pizza Hut restaurants .. I will neverspend a dime at another Grottos again ever ? Horrible .. Read more
I?m very conflicted about my experience. The customer service was as excepted at a Grotto ? exceptional. HOWEVER? the pizza... looked like it was refrozen from the pre-quarantine. I have been to grotto at Delaware beach more than enough times that as soonas I saw my pepperoni slice from Dover, I knew the pizza was poorly made. There was hardly any sauce and it looked like the chefthrew additional cheese to coverup the lack of sauce. This slice was not the Grotto standard and I am very disappointed. Willnot be returning. Excellent. The French onion soup could have had a bit more sodium, but otherwise great. UPDATE 04/29/22:. Went there last... night and had a personal pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. While I could have handled more anchovies, it was decent. We alsogot a basket of fries and some bruschetta that the table split and they were also decent. Read more
