I had a great dinner at their Epping location and was told a sister spot was open in the nearby town of Dover. I came for what... was meant to be a light, pre-flight lunch, and those were my famous last words. I ordered El Tellez, a heaping mound of sizzlingribeye mixed with a perfectly seasoned, not-too-spicy sauce, and fresh veggies. It comes with tortillas but those are a bonus -you can eat it on its own and savor just as much of the kick. We also ordered the camarones gratinados - just imagine a sizzlingplate of grilled shrimp covered in onions, peppers, and queso. Even when it eventually stopped sizzling it was covered in warm,cheesy bliss. My prickly pear margarita was great, and I am not much of a fruity margarita person to begin with, so I waspleasantly surprised. After reading so many good reviews and hearing a lot of hype about this place (supposedly the top margaritas in the state), my... husband and I were super excited to come. We however ended up being very disappointed. I ordered a house margarita and it wasextremely weak, tasted like only juice. My husband got the margarona and said the same thing. The food was okay but overalloverly salted and seemed like generic Mexican food. My brother is a regular and said that this time was definitely not as goodas it normally is. He didn?t know if it was an off night or if there was a new chef but not up to par. We thought the fried icecream would redeem our lack luster entrees but we were majorly disappointed. This was the first time I ordered from here and it was amazing. The taco salad was full of flavors and the jalapeño poppers had... the right amount of cream cheese and pepper together. The enchiladas were very savory had the perfect balance of heat and thechurros were so soft and sweet which was amazing!! Also it came with a bag or tortilla chips and salsa which is a nice littleappetizer. They are also very accommodating when you can?t have certain things or don?t like certain ingredients like my husbandis not a fan of sour cream so they made sure not to make his enchiladas with sour cream which was very kind of them. Had a Grilled Chicken Fajita Quesadilla, which was amazing, and Spinach Dip, also fantastic!! Our waitress was very attentive... and good conversation!! I went last Friday with a large group and they did a great job accommodating us. The staff was very nice and they had a long... table so we could all sit together. The atmosphere is nice, too.
