What a lovely and delicious experience. The food was awesome. The sweet potato fries were crispy. The burger was cooked... perfectly. The beer was excellent and I don't usually drink draft beer. We had the dogs with us so we sat outside. Our waitresswas wonderful. unfortunately I forgot her name. We had some vegans with us and they loved it. I highly recommend the RuddyDuck, check them out. This is a really nice microbrewery on Solomon's Island Maryland. I did a flight of seven beers so I tried pretty much... everything they had on tap except for two IPAs which I don't like anyway. Anyway everything I tried was really good with theexception of the Honey Hourbon Porter which to me was too sweet with a funny aftertaste. My favorite was actually they're juststraight Porter but they have plenty of lighter beers for people who like this and one blueberry flavored beer which was reallygood. This place is also a full restaurant and I had blackened fish tacos with spicy onion rings which were excellent they havea pretty good full and varied menu. We ate here on vacation and had a great experience. Good beers and surprisingly good food for a brew pub. I got the falafel wrap... with spicy onion rings. The onion rings are on point- crispy without being greasy. My husband got a pizza and loved it. Theyalso allowed our dog on the patio :). Our server was Andrew and he was awesome, very attentive. Great pizza here! We stopped in for lunch & had the wings as well and the Mediterranean plate. Homemade ranch & tzaziki were... delicious. Great atmosphere & service was friendly & fast!! Prices were good & we left full & satisfied! Read more
My wife and I go out to eat fairly regularly, that’s important to know up front. I have to say, out of all the places we’ve... been recently this place stands out. Great service, excellent food and a family friendly environment. I enjoyed my time here somuch I asked to speak to the owner so I could compliment my server and the establishment itself. You will be hard pressed tofind a restaurant who cares as much as these guys do about the quality of food and service. We never saw one table wait morethan 2 minutes to be greeted and everyone’s food seemed to come out super fast and hot. We loved our food, I couldn’tbelieve my burger was actually cooked medium. I can’t tell you how many places ask and always just burn it or cook it welldone. It’s a small thing but it’s important. My wife’s crab pizza was amazing and their duck fat fries were so tasty. Thepretzel for the appetizer was also delicious and came out piping hot. I would have liked more cheese with it but it ended upbeing enough. The beer was also great. Lastly, we have a 1 year old and this was a great spot to take her. All of the staff wereso kind as well. Will be coming back at least every other week! Read more
Good beer, great service. Stopped in quickly for a mid afternoon bite between 2 activities we had planned, only had about 45... min. Service was friendly and quick. We had the soft pretzel and the mini crab cake appetizers which were very good. They werenot busy at this particular time Sunday during a holiday weekend, lots of space for when they are though. They were having livemusic on the patio which sounded nice but we took a seat at the bar because of the time restraint. Helles lager was great! Tonsof really cool growlers to take beer home in. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and our first choice restaurant was the Charles Street Brassiere in Solomon’s... Island. So plan B is the Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill. What a pleasant surprise! Food was excellent. We had petite crabcakes and oysters on a half shell. My husband had the grilled salmon and I had the Bigoi pasta and Clams. The server got thepasta dish mixed up with the Bulogi bowl, so they hurried and made my dinner. It was delicious! Everything was delicious. Theonly complaint was the delay and getting our drinks. So the bartender gave my husband a birthday shot. Since my dinner waslate, we got desserts on the house. This is definitely a very nice restaurant with outstanding food and service. Read more
Short review: Had Duck Fries and few samples from the brewery. Fries were very good with some amazing ranch. Pumpkin and... Chocolate beers were very good. Brewery has a good mix. Prices are $$ to $$$. Read more
