Walked in and asked one of the staff if I sit or order at the counter. He asked if it's my first time and I said yes. He then... proceeded to walk me to the counter while explaining everything on the menu and mentioning which ones they were best known for.After I ordered a few of his recommendations (the hot dog, Polish sausage, fries) I waited, grabbed my food and sat down. One ofthe best hot dogs I've ever eaten and the buns were so soft. I enjoyed the toppings on the hot dog more than the onions on thesausage but they were both great and the fries were delicious too. Overall the food was very inexpensive and filled me up well.The nice staff member even came by once he saw me get up and asked how it was and what I ordered. Having somebody like thatdefinitely puts Portillo's as a must-return for me. The place was kept super clean as well which was nice to see! Read more
Nice for the experience. Service was fast. Familiarize with the toppings that each food comes with. Dog was OK. Jumbo dog... wasn?t so jumbo. Price was a bit steep in my opinion. Got the beef dip, polish sausage, jumbo dog, fries, cheese burger,shakes, and Greek salad (came with chicken). Read more
Food was good but wrong. Didn?t have time to go back as we ordered at 9:45pm inside the restaurant. Ordered a double... cheeseburger and once I got to my destination it was a single cheeseburger. I also dislike the fact that this restaurant isalways dirty. Behind the counter food is always everywhere (on the floor, on the counter tops). This store is always a mess inthe evening. To say that every Portillos you go to they are always busy because the food is great. I feel they should have 1 or2 people only focused on cleaning. Read more
