We were very excited to be back here for dinner today. BIG disappointment! The foid was ok...but I don't remember EVER having... a worst server at ANY restaurant. The guy was rude from the get-go. We received 3 of 4 entrees and had to wait 30 minutes forthe 4th because another server took it for a different customer (at least thatcis what the server told us when we asked), andwhen it did arrive, it was literally dropped in front of us, with no apology. Went in around 730. Seemed like we were bothering them. Pasta was undercooked. Dropped 15% and chucked dueces. Wont go back.
BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY BOGO Entree for E-Club members Free pepperoni pizza with E-Club sign up Looking... like Macaroni Grill/Olive Garden on the outside, yet Original Roadhouse Grill on the inside (complete with rolls of paper towelson the tables in the bar area), Johnny Carino's offers similar fair to their Italian chain brethren. When I spotted the freepepperoni pizza & BOGO promos, I quickly signed up. Pepperoni pizza- Ordering takeout in-person, I didn't wait long till mypizza was ready. Carino's does a respectable job with their pizza. More Brooklyn-style than thin crust, there were ampleamounts of pepperoni & cheese. Asking for a container of red pepper flakes, the pizza turned out to be solid, and a greatintroduction to the restaurant. Service was good. I was helped right away, with the restaurant being almost empty when I went. Johnny Carino's is located at Downey Landing, adjacent to Stewart and Grey Road. I was happy with my free pizza from JohnnyCarino's. I didn't redeem my BOGO deal, as I didn't manage to swing by before expiration. I'm seldom in the Downey area,unless misfortune strikes and I have to head to Kaiser Permanente Hospital/Urgent Care, but I'd keep Johnny Carino's on the listof potential food suitors when hunger strikes. Delicious! Food was piping hot even though we were served outside. I tried the pizza for the first time & it was perfect. Nice &... thin, yet with a chewy crust and fresh tasting toppings. Would definitely get again. Their small is cut up into 4 slices. Evenmy son's burger was delicious. And of course the entire reason we go there: my husband's all time favorite spicy chicken &shrimp romano. I'm not a big pasta person (hence my pizza orde), but even I like this dish. The crusty bread they serve as anappetizer is just the icing on top. Update: still delicious with the best pasta. The cheesecake is fluffy and creamy. Read more
This was my first time coming to Corino's and it was de-li-cous! I had the spicy romano chicken and calamari as appetizer. My... girlfriend got the chicken jalapeno ravioli and everything was so good. At the end we even got a taramisu that we weredefinitely too full for but still enjoyed. Read more
Was not satisfied with our meal. Tried the lasagna and it was super salty, fettuccine was bland and had too much pepper. Ordered... the spinach and artichoke appetizer, it was very soupy and was served with stale wontons. We also ordered a small pepperonipizza and it tasted like frozen cafeteria food. Service was ok which is why I gave the 2 stars. Read more
This spot was alright. We had an early dinner and the place was quite dead, however I have an anniversary coming up and I think... it would be a great place to have a nice dinner with my wife. Although some prices are a bit high, there are some greatspecials. I had the Johnny's Combo which consisted of chicken Parmigianino, lasagna and spaghetti. I can't recall the name ofthe burger my brother ordered but he said it was alright. Read more
