I?ve worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I can definitely tell when I cross an individual who is dedicated and... committed to their job. Today I visited Shakeys Downey was greeted by Elia V. As I entered the door she was also my cashier andanswered every question I had regarding Brunch menu, very kind and very patient. Threw out my visit she also came to my tableand cleared my plates and wiped my table! That?s is very much appreciated!!!! Clean environment! Amazing crispy fluffy hot fresh pizza every time we visit. The chicken and the wings are good, golden hot and crispy, and the... mojo potatoes never fail. It's nice to be able to wash it all down with a pitcher of beer. We really enjoy eating here atShakey's. Read more
Place is nice and cool, food was on point, beer as cold as it could get, but most importantly kids had a blast!
Staff was very courteous and professional. My wife fell when we were walking through neighborhoods to get to Shakey?s and when... we got there they gave us two bags of ice throughout our dinner. The place was full but the wait was minimal as the employees moved along quickly. The cashier was friendly, our server was... attentive and our cleanup crew was polite. The food came out to our table quick and was fresh. We are happy to have to cameback tonight. Great job Shakey?s Read more
The line to pay moves so slllooowwww and that is why it's getting a 4 out of 5 stars... We made it to the bunch a lunch buffet... and although we only had 30 minutes left the food was surprisingly fresh the entire time... They had everything well stockedwhich was great!! Don't live in California anymore but anytime I'm back in town for family I try to come and have a family meal here. And it's the... same location that I used to come to as a kid and it's still great! Food is always hot and delicious. You gotta go witheverything, the mojo potatoes, fried chicken, and of course pizza! It's all great here. Wish they didn't get rid of the oldarcades from back then though. Read more
Shakey's last time I was here was 7 years ago and I really don't know why it took me 7 years to come back until today. Pizza has... never my favorite here but can't say that about the Chichen and Mojo's. Chichen was dry and hard to eat. Mojo's were just okay.Know I know why I haven't been here in 7 years.
