This restaurant was a nice find in Downingtown. The food was delicious and we even got complimentary limoncello shots at the... end. We came for an early dinner but it started to get pack as the night went on. I recommend putting in for a reservation. Myfavorite was their fish special for the night but we definitely do not have any complaints on any of the dishes we ordered! Wewill definitely come back. The outdoors area looked great but it was too chilly to sit outside for dinner. Read more
Steven was our waiter and he was awesome. My husband and I did a quick vacation to the area? the reviews were good so we decided... to give it a try. We were not disappointed? we got the meatballs and calamari for appetizers - everything was perfect. I wanteda sweeter drink and they were able to make one on the spot for me. The entree was excellent as well- Lobster ravioli and Seafoodfettuccine. We would absolutely return to this restaurant. They also offer outdoor seating and the location is so idyllic-located on a small stream. We had a wonderful time! Read more
Great food with a view. Excellent service and loved everything we ordered (fried calamari, chicken parm, short rib ravioli and... potato cakes). Highly recommend this little gem in the Downingtown area! Bonus points for plenty of parking space. Read more
Great location in Downingtown with plenty of parking. Service was excellent and the lunch menu had a good variety to choose... from. Our party had the grilled salmon, ribeye and chicken pasta. It was worth the 1 hour drive from my location. I recommendthis place. Read more
This location has changed hands several times over the years. However, I hope La Sponda stays put for a while! I've been twice... in the past few months (parties of 6 and 4), and each of us loved what we got. Our favorites are the meet and cheese board,calamari, meatballs, chicken and crab, and short ribs. The drinks and atmosphere are great too! Looking forward to more visits. Read more
This place was GREAT! Our food was top notch, I was definitely impressed with the menu and how everything tasted. I will say... it took us quite some time to get the check but that was only because the restaurant got slammed and our server was busy. Thatbeing said, I already have reservations for next weekend and I can't wait. Definitely go check this place out for yourself! Read more
SO happy to see a new restaurant in DTown and especially in this place. Its such a fantastic location and an amazing building. ... This was my first time eating here and the staff is very friendly (I think they're looking for help if anyone is interested) andthey offer a wide selection of dishes. Admittedly, we only had apps but the main courses seemed yummy. I enjoyed the octopus,and my date had the caramelized carrots and really enjoyed them. I would highly recommend coming out and trying the food anddrinks. Support local businesses when possible. Read more
We had an absolutely wonderful experience. Very possibly the best restaurant in the area. Outstanding food and service at... surprisingly reasonable prices. Fresh and good quality ingredients, all lovingly prepared. Started with an excellent appetizerof grilled octopus followed up with a beautiful porcini encrusted steak and a super yummy seafood risotto full of shrimp andscallops with a side of delicious brocolli rabe ???? Nice finish with Limoncellos, cappuccino and Creme Brulee. Our new go-tospot ! Will be back for sure !
