We thought it was closed, permanently, until we saw a lighted "Open" sign. Should have heeded the warning. The bar area looks... like the website, no idea were the dining area shown on line is but not where we were served. The 2 people working werefriendly but the food, I had lake perch, was marginal at best. The menu is very large but it might be optimistic in terms ofdelivery. Maybe stop by for a burger at lunch but first dinner, drive a few minutes further into Watkins Glen or Geneva. Yeah,brilliant response about like the service 3YEARS late. Read more

The Dresden Hotel is a must stop for food and/or drinks whenever driving through, passing by, getting near, or simply thinking... of the Dresden or Finger Lakes area! A lovely local restaurant and bar featuring a fully stocked bar, extremely knowledgeablebartender, pool sharks, a piano, and great company. Reading this review right now looking for a place to eat and/or drink in thearea? Stop reading and just go here for a great local time and good food! And finally- calling all Ohioans who know what SkylineChili is... they have it HERE! I am afraid to even write a review about this place because it truly is a "sleeper" find. I don't want anyone else to find out... about it! Great food with that old time atmosphere inside. We got there early around 6:00pm. Its late Fall and it was darkoutside. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give it a 2 for the outside. But don't let that stop you! The inside is warm and invitingbut the outside is rough. We were the first car in the parking lot. It was dark and not well lit. The owners greeted us and gaveus a warm welcome and a tour of the main floor. The place is immaculately clean. They have a ballroom and a kitchen that canhost up to 250 people! There is a ton of history in this place. If you are on a wine tour of Seneca Lake this should be yourfinal stop so you can have dinner! Walter Taylor used to come here and trade artwork for dinner! The chef (owner) takes greatpride in his servings. They also have a small wine wall (about the size of an armour) where you can choose a fine bottle of wine(from $30 to $150!). Excellent selections. Tonight was my first time at the Dresden Hotel and it was a fantastic experience I cannot wait to repeat! Don't let the old... exterior fool you, this restaurant is clean, adorable and homey! We felt like we were visiting our grandparents and the foodtasted like that too! So excited to visit here again! Read more
