Lukewarm "fries" buried in a pile of Old Bay with two boats of warm salted lard on the side? Check. Nachos that taste like... thick cardboard smothered in salted lard and topped with expired frozen minute steak? Check. A burger that tastes like(uncooked) fish? Check. Our entire party agreed that the food was disgusting, so to avoid food poisoning, we left them with thefood and the check. (But I tipped our waitress who was wonderful despite being overworked with too many tables). If you mustdine here, avoid the food. Read more

4 for food 2 for service. Waited a long time for everything we ordered. Server asked if we wanted to start with the crab fries,... ordered 2 orders, didn’t get them until we were finished our lunch. Had to ask more than once and was told that there wasconfusion in the kitchen. Had to ask for silverware and asked for two more sodas, again had to ask more than once. We askedanother waitress because of waiting so long and she told us we had to order with our server, which we had already done. If youare really hungry and in a rush this is not the place to go. It’s a shame because the tip was much less than I usually leave. The tip reflects the service. The food was delicious but cold and soggy by the time we got the fries which we wanted with ourlunch. We asked a new friend who is a local here in PA where the locals eat for the best Cheese Steak. We had hit Tony Lukes a few... years back and it was hot, tasty and messy! Perfect. But after asking a LOCAL where to go and they said Chickie's & Pete's....Iam not sure locals know good PCS! We were there at noon...only 2 other tables had customers. We ordered the Classic and a SouthPhilly Cheese Steak Sangs. The bun was very dry and size-wise, over took the amount of steak they put on it. The sauce wasenough to make a picture look good, but once you took a bite, you realized how dry the entire thing was. SUPER disappointed andthis "historic name" in Philly...I'll take TL for the massive win any day...especially when I see actually locals filling theplace as opposed to a couple of "business lunch" people. Bring back the hard hat wearing, drywall breathing, paint drippingPhiladelphians Cheese Steak. Read more

I called to order from Delaware, was told 25 minutes. I paid and waited another almost an hour for a fairly small $60 order.... Terrible terrible wait time, and the food was not hot when I got it. I ordered mussels in red sauce and said I would pay foradditional red sauce on the side. This picture is what I got, and no sauce on the side. The cake in the picture is $8, highwayrobbery Read more

It was our first time here. Not a fan of the red mussels, burger or crab cakes. Crab cakes were too sour. The New England clam... chowder was delicious. The crab fries were different but good. Probably will not return. Waitress was not that attentive andtook her 15 minutes to acknowledge us for drinks. Read more

Of course the crabfries are to die for & the food is always good. However, unfortunately there was a 1/2 hour wait. When I asked... why because the place was darn near empty, the patron said there was only one server on board. Of course we waited, wentshopping & came back, lol. But it's sad that these restaurants have a big issue with hiring people during this time. Read more

As with most other Chickie's & Pete's, the food was delicious the prices were fairly reasonable. Timing was also very good, as... we were told there would be a 15 minute wait but just after a minute, we were seated. Our waitress was very attentive, makingsure we enjoyed our meal. When we went (May 2020), the restaurant was still making sure there was ample space between each tableto promote social distancing. Overall, a great restaurant, and I look forward to visiting more in the future. Read more
