Almost perfect. Server was polite, professional, and efficient, but just slightly disengaged. When my husband spoke, she... really wasn't listening and she finished his sentence, changing his order completely. Not a big deal, I was paying attentionor he would have received a completely different item than what he ordered. So I had to help her to do her job. Other than that,she was wonderful. The food was tasty, plentiful, presented well, and reasonably priced. I'd definitely go back. I ordered thespinach quiche (super yummy, almost burnt, but I like it like that way (top crust and edges) and he ordered eggs over Hash.Slightly less expensive than first watch, which is our 1st place to go. Walleye special “cam’s walleye” comes in a very firm crust that breaks open like chef was protecting the walleye from... something (?). I was dubious about walleye so far from Minnesota- it was the real fish, even if they don’t know how to cookit. Kids had pasta one with red sauce which they liked, other with butter and cheese- which was the silica gel “plastic”cheese. Spouse had the burger which he liked. Shakes were okay but whipped cream was strange like they forgot to add something.Total cost for lunch before tip $73. For plastic cheese, fries, burger, and extra crusty lake fish. Incredible as always. Love the warm cinnamon rolls they bring out at the beginning. The kids loved their Mac and Chicken... Tenders. I tried the chicken and it was the real deal. Their ranch and BBQ are house made and delicious. The reuben was nice.Tasty and juicy. Read more
We've never been disappointed at Cap City. This was the first time at this location - they've done a great job creating a unique... experience while carrying some trademarks of the brand. It was a busy Friday night at the restaurant but, with our reservation,we were quicky seated for a birthday celebration dinner. The server was nothing special but provided adequate, timely service.Food was great all around including appetizers, cocktails and dessert! We were seated near the door to the enclosed patio whichprovided a shockingly cold wind upon opening, but otherwise it was great night! Read more
It's pretty packed during the dinner rush, so expect a wait unless you have reservations. The staff are great. There's seating... at the bar and in booths. The food portions are fairly big and overall very good. The carrot cake is delicious and comes in ahuge slice. Read more
This Diner would have got 5 stars if we had been able to get peas with the fish and chips, we'd been offered bread like other... tables were and the older gentleman at reception hadn't been so grumpy as we left. He needed to read the sign on the wall! Ourwaitress was very friendly and attentive. The decor was awesome and the place was exceptionally clean. The food the starter ofmushrooms and curd cheese was excellent and a very good portion, my husband's burger was one of the best he'd ever eaten. Thefried chicken was good great coating. The mashed potato came with white gravy but the waitress brought me brown as I requestedand the flavour was perfect. "Wish I'd had a slice of roast beef, with it" lol ???? We were on a road trip so may not go againbut if we're near we definitely will. Read more
Been here a couple times over the last few years. Service was good this last time, arrived a litte before the dinner crowd. ... The shrimp appetizer was really good. Entree choices are few, but I do not mind that, hopefully they do what they do well, butnothing really jumped out that I had to have. We had a Reuben and club sandwich, hard to mess that up right. Good sandwiches. Four stars for the prices, a little stiff, but hey I work hard for my clams, have to take care of them. Give Cap City a try,not bad. Read more
EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious and well priced for the area. We enjoyed the pretzel, French toast, Hash, and unlimited... cinnamon rolls! The outdoor seating area is covered with fans for humid and encloses for rainy days. Read more
