Usually love this place. They have really great food and it?s totally of five. I love the decor inside and the cultural... experience that you feel you?re experiencing inside. The only downfall, is the service sucks. You have to wait and atrociousamount of time typically. Every time I?ve went in here the hostess always takes forever to see you. Usually the servers havegood service and are very polite but you can tell they?re overworked and overwhelmed. Still a great place so that?s why I gaveit a three star. Read more
The food that we ordered did not come correctly but then we are charged with meat when we did not order anything with meat. We... asked if this was correct, the server said all meals with or without meat cost the same price which is untrue. the server tookabout 10 minutes to come over to us. Will not return unfortunately. Good Mexican food. Not the best, but very good. Good selection of Draft Beers and Tequilas.
This is the worst location, and only unpleasant experience I have had with El Vaquero restaurants. I will stick to the one a... little further away in Shawnee Hills (makes no sense why they have 2 so close to each other anyway). We entered, and there were3 ladies at the bar, only 1 other table seated. They sat us rather quickly, but it was downhill from there. Even with a nearlyempty restaurant, they weren't the least bit attentive, which you can see from the picture of the bar and open dining area, thattheir focus was on their personal conversations. We had to request to place an order, no refills offered on water, and while wesat for 10min trying to make eye contact with someone to get our check and boxes, they continued to chat with each other. Thefood was delicious as always, although the carnitas was about 75% thick, greasy, gelatinous fat, and 25% tender meat. Guac wasamazing! Read more
Enjoyed my lunch here - the queso was excellent and each dish our group ordered was very good.
Nice location, didn't even k ow it was in this complex lol. Good food, good bar, good happy hour. Service seems to vary each... time but overall love this place. Read more
(Updated) I came back since Los Jimadores changed owners and changed names and it's been a big improvement! I came at an off... time but the food was way better than it had been when this place was still Amigos. The steak in my food was seared perfectlyand excellently seasoned. A marked improvement. The decor is nicer and the seating is much more open. It's still not my favoriteMexican restaurant within 10 miles but it's become a much more desirable option. I can at least say it's the best tex-mexnorth-west Columbus has to offer. (Outdated) Amigo's offers pretty standard tex-mex fare but I'd take it over El Vaquero anyday of the week. The seafood and Texas burritos are pretty good, and if you're looking for someplace in close proximity to thehospital I struggle to think of anywhere you could do better for a dine-in experience. I forget the goofy name they have for itbut the big blue margarita is worth a try. The saving grace of this place is that it's got no real competition nearby, but I canthink of a few Mexican restaurants within 5 to 10 miles that offer more memorable meals. Read more
