Stopped in after the receptionist at our hotel said it was her favorite place to eat and I know why. Traveling west looking for... local places to eat and it did not disappoint. We got in around 730 and had a brief wait which was absolutely fine. They werepretty busy for a Wednesday. My fiancé and I both ordered the buffalo medallions and they were cooked to perfection along withthe mashed potatoes and green beans. I also ordered a crock of French onion soup which was great and certainly larger than anyother bowl I ever had French onion soup in before. If you?re in the town of Dubois stop by, you won?t be disappointed. Read more

Stopped there in 2020 on my way through. To this day their buffalo steak has still been the best cut of meat I?ve ever had. It... was so good. They also had a drink I think was called six shooter. One of my favorite drinks. Read more

We stopped off here on our way through Wyoming from Yellowstone - we thought had to try a steak in this state. We both went for... New York strips which were cooked perfectly with excellent sides. Would recommend highly! Read more

We had such a great dinner last night across the street at the Cowboy Cafe. We were tempted to go back, but the locals all said,... the Lone Buffalo Steakhouse. So we joined the group in front of the restaurant waiting for the 5:00 opening. We were welcomed ina friendly manner, and seated in the authentic western dinning room. The entire restaurant filled up within 45 minutes on aTuesday night with people who seemed happy to be here. A local shop owner told us to order the grilled Brussels sprouts withbacon and goat cheese. We knew we would split the entree, so we also ordered fried cheese curds with a cinnamon chipotle sauce.Oooh! Fabulous. The drinks were not disappointing. The Wyoming whiskey was hardy and not too sweet, and the Old Fashion wasperfect, served with an orange slice and black cherries. The rolls were served with a great honey butter, and the honey is localfrom the honey shop across the street. We split the 10oz New York Strip, medium rare. It had a warm red center, great for me buttoo rare for my husband. They happily took it back and retuned it hot and ever so slightly adjusted to a perfect medium rare.Asparagus spears, tender crisp. Perfect. They were out of their in-house made bread pudding, so we tried the cheesecake. Verymediocre. Read more
