We dined here on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend - there weren?t a lot of options close to our hotel as many places are... closed on Sunday in Dubuque downtown. We had a pizza which was good and more than enough for two, a chocolate bomb dessert whichwas okay. I tried a local (Dubuque) craft beer: 7 Hills Wonky Kong, which was fantastic. Definitely not our best food experience by far. We waited forever for a pizza for half of our party, and it somehow got dropped... in the kitchen. While waiting, the server never came over to see if we needed anything. Then we learned what happened and hadto keep waiting for a new pizza that I feel was rushed. Not much mozzarella or pepperoni for the price paid. The kids werestarving and ready to gnaw off their own arms... Burger was just so so, nothing spectacular. Definitely not worth the wait. And the fries were ice cold. Points were lost because the replacement fries also were cold. Not a place we will return to. Read more
Solid place, but had some downside. The presentation is great, a redone historical building in a historic downtown, way cool... vibe. Once inside It did not feel authentic, felt more commercial. The beer selection was good. Nice local options. Thefood was BAD. Feel like it was warmed up food service food, not homemade, except mushrooms, which were great. Worst burger andfries I ever had.
