Real good food, served up by real nice folks in a really nice place. Really! Our server Lindsey was filled with helpful info... and Midwestern charm. Been coming to this location for years. Working wedding venues, to personal date nights, this place had ne covered. Decent... portions per price point. I'm not a drinker but they would have enough for an army if you want to wet your whistle. Nice staff,clean, and a great atmosphere. Outdoor seating available and it's well worth it. They are really good! The catfish strips are to die for. The smashed potatoes are covered in cheese sauce and I can?t even begin... to explain how good of an idea that is. Our waitress did the best she could given the circumstances. There were some largegroups ahead of us causing our wait times to be longer. The waitress was super polite, apologetic and even paid for one of ourdrinks because of the wait. The outdoor patio is amazing and overlooks the river. Prices can be pricey, but you can tell it?sfresh. They also offer a dinner cruise, booze cruise and other speciality cruises on the river. I have done those and wouldsuggest if visiting the area. Food comes in large portions, definitely should have shared with someone else at my table. Very filling and lots of fun choices... for food and alcohol. The food was warm and very clearly freshly made. Locals clearly enjoy the place and the staff was veryfriendly and the manager came by to check on the table as well. I really enjoyed the Catfish and Shrimp Creole served with rice. The Cajun seasoning and flavor was outstanding. This was a very... delicious dish. My wife had the fried catfish and was very pleased. We love this place and when we are in Dubuque we go here. Read more
Went here for dinner as it was recommended. The 3 cheese mashed potatoes are super delicious. Like I need to know how their... mashed potatoes are made as they are so fluffy, and not starchy. I and how they made the cheese sauce and just how they make theentire dish its that great. . I had a burger which also was good with homemade potato chips. Most everything is made in house.The chocolate chip bread pudding is also great. Read more
