I was just in Subway on JFK in Dubuque across some Hartigs. If you like cockroaches crawling over your vegetables then this is... the subway to go to. Also the server there was emptying garbage and then went immediately to making sandwiches nice trainingguys. Read more

4/20/22 - Small wait for service. Lady behind the counter clearly looked sick and was wiping her nose on her forearm while... making sandwiches. It took her 22 minutes to make a meatball sandwich. I would have overlooked being sick and lengthy wait, butI asked for a receipt and upon inspecting the system involuntarily gave them a $1.09 tip. Came in with my daughter to grab a sandwich at 12:20 on a sunday afternoon. We were greeted with smiling voices. The store was... clean and orderly even behind the counter. The sandwich makers did a great job and the manager on duty kept her calm despite thefact the phone was ringing, mobile orders were coming and so were more customers. Great customer service! I've always liked Subway, but in the last couple of years, mainly because of Covid probably, there's... been a huge increase in online orders. However they don't higher more staff or enlarge the size of their work area to handle theincreased business (which could of course be the result of fewer people wanting to go back to work) You can walk in and maybeonly see five or six people ahead of you, but in fact there could be 10 to 20 people in actuality because of the online ordersthey have to fill.
