If you love cake donuts with out-of-this-world icing, this is the spot for you! Each donut is made fresh to order, not in... batches. You can customize your donut however you like, from the batter to the icing to the topping. They come out HOT!!! Thecoffee here is also pretty good and well priced. The outside seating is old but comfortable and the venue is connected to thewater-front walkway that takes you to all the other restaurants and shops in the waterfront in Duck, NC. The craze for these is like Apple obsession. It's good, but there are better options. And I certainly won't come back to this... location. At the dozen price, still paying about $2 a donut. The style and the flavor options are a common trend among manydonut shops and these didn't taste particularly different. But what really turned me off was waiting 36 minutes for an order ofthree dozen donuts and watching ticket numbers as high as 20 numbers beyond me (all from the same counter / register) getcalled. When I asked, they told me it was because I had the dozen, but I saw a man with a higher number get four dozen about 10minutes before me. Their solution to make amends? 2 extra donuts. What on earth do 2 extra donuts do when I have 36 already?Glad I checked this experience off my list, but I certainly won't be trying again. Read more

Typically LOVE Duck Donuts and all their delicious donuts. While on vacation in Duck we ordered our favs and these are the... donuts we received. See pic. Order was incorrect and sloppily done. Totally understand how busy they are during the vacationseason but we placed our order online at 0700 with a pick up time of 1115 and the donuts look like they were thrown together byan angry toddler during craft time. No visit to Duck NC is complete without a visit to the original Duck Donuts. They are famous for customized donuts, as well as a... wide variety kids of flavors. A few notes if you plan to visit. 1. They are closed on Tuesdays (We found that out the hardway). 2. You limited to a maximum of 2 dozen donuts. 3. You can order ahead online and then come pick them up if you prefer. 4.The shop is bisected by an alley. You order in the shop on one side of the alley and pick them up on the other side. Read more
