First I want to say that the food here is very good and the owner Sam is always very nice. I am leaving a less than perfect... review because of the girl who took my order. When I arrived to pick up my food I saw that it was wrong on the receipt. I hadordered a meatball sub and it said meatball and sausage. I told her that the order was wrong and she argued saying that's what Iordered and then acted like I was the bad guy in a movie when I told her I'd never have ordered meatball and sausage because mywife hates the smell of sausage. After she agreed to have it remade I went to pay and was told the price was the same for ameatball as it is for a meatball and sausage. I am not in the restaurant business and I may be wrong but every other restaurantcharges more for a meatball and sausage than they do for a meatball. So I can only assume that I was ripped off on the price. SoI guess thus review is more about this one employee than it is about the restaurant. I will still continue to eat here but Iwill definitely be having my order read back to me and I will be checking the prices online. Read more

First and last time that I will be getting anything from Big Al's Pizza. I ordered online and accidently marked Pickup but... called immediately (within 30 seconds of sending order) to have it changed. The girl who answered the phone took my address andsaid that it was all set. An hour later still not delivered. I called again and it turned out that the girl HADN'T ENTERED theaddress or changed the order to delivery. All the other girl (who sounded suspiciously like the first girl...hmmm) would say isthat they would send it out as the first order. To compound that non-answer, when I inquired how long, (and gave estimates...10minutes, 15 minutes, etc) she said "I don't know. It depends on how far away you are". I have passed by them often and it takesno more than 10 minutes. So, after it finally comes, is it Hot and Fresh as advertised??? Nope COLD!!! I have to say they are consistent when I've placed a delivery order (I'm disabled so prefer delivery to pick-up). I've tried... ordering from here at least 5 times over the last 5 years and each time I've ordered from Big Al's three things have happened. First, there is always something wrong with the order, usually something is "forgotten" whether an extra topping I've paid foror a side order. Calling never helped get it either. Second, add at least an hour to the estimated time they give you as itappears they send their driver out with a bunch of deliveries so it depends on where you fall on their list. I live about amile away and it takes at least an hour for the delivery to get here. Third, because it takes so long to deliver, the food isusually cold, at best lukewarm turned cold within 10 minutes. They supposedly have tracking on their website for your order butother than saying they've started prep, they don't bother to update. The shame is that their food is okay cold so it might beamazing hot but unless you go and pick it up, you will probably never know. I know I won't as I will not be ordering from themagain. Read more

This is the second time I tried Big Als. Was told it was great and was disappointed. First time it wasn’t great but figured... we’d try again. This second experience was terrible. Called for delivery was told 1 hour. After 90 minutes I called and theysaid it was out for delivery. After an hour 45 the food arrived cold and the pizza was folded. This place is a joke and I willnever get their sub par food again. Do not recommend. Try lake street pizza or go into Oxford to p and d or Carlos or somewherewho takes customer service seriously and takes pride in making good food. Read more

My family LOVES Big Al’s. Whether it’s pick-up or delivery, there’s always a friendly face????. From steak tips to pizzas... and grinders…. and their salads are so fresh and amazing! Everything is excellent. If you weren’t happy, maybe you caughtthem on a bad day. Is every day in your life a good day? If so, good for you! Or do you have bad days? Don’t bash someone justbecause you had a bad experience once. Big Al’s is a great place and they stand by their service and products. If you’re nothappy, tell them.
