Ordered a mother cruncher last week it was so hard and cold could not eat. Same on last night I ordered a fish sandwich I asked... for it to be cooked fresh I received a cold hard patty unable to eat . Mind you that?s money thrown away and you?re still leftwith nothing to eat. I saw the man look at the cook ignoring the fact I said fresh and he still gave me a hard cold patty. Won?tbe back. I rarely visit true "fast food" joints besides CFA, which seems to be adjacent to religion out here. However, I was hungry... after The Brothers War pre-release event at Level-Up Games (check them out, they are AMAZING!) and it was already past midnight. Korean food is readily available throughout Duluth and on Pleasant Hill Rd, but ordering late limits you to the pochas, clubs,and bars - meh. So I saw the line at Checkers and decided to give them a try. Now, I am from Arizona. We don't have"Checkers" but we have their West Coast version, Rally's. When Rally's first came into Arizona, they were great and I lovedtheir fries. Somehow, every one of them has gone straight downhill and I'd skip meals before I ate there. So I'm a littleworried about my late night choice... Ordering food was interesting as it's an automated system. The software figured out whatI wanted without a hitch though and I picked up my food at the window. Everything was piping hot and my order was correct(wings, fries and a bottle water). Lo and behold, I got to have the fries I remembered from over a decade ago! Highly seasoned,slightly crispy, somewhat greasy and fairly flavorful. The wings were just ok - what I'd expect from fast food wings. Will Ivisit again during the day? Uh, no. That area has a TON of delicious options to choose from. And food is available onsite ifwe go virtual golfing or to karaoke. But if I get out of a late pre-release event again...I'll might go grab some fries. Read more
Great Checkers! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! The service was prompt and very friendly. This restaurant is probably... the best Checkers around, and should be used as an example to teach other locations how to get it done right! I am Veryimpressed!!! Read more
My favorite fast food place!! They have been consistent when ever I come food hot and order right! Especially compared to other... fast food places!!! They lady?s there make sure the order are right! Been to other checkers locations and this is the only one iwill frequent! Read more
Service is not great at this location. Food was ok but the fries were heavy on the salt. The meat doesn't taste as flavorable as... it once was. Pinching a penny to charge more but not delivering in taste. Checkers has come down in taste and service whiletheir prices go up. I also miss some of the old classics like the honey mustard chicken sandwich. Such a shame. Read more
Stopped by Checkers to grab three medium double burger combos about 10:30pm. See photos! Called the number on the receipt to... complain. Operator took my complaint and said someone would be in touch. It?s been a week and I have not heard from anyone.Waste of $29.52! Read more
3/17/22 @ 3:10pm Very disappointed in this location, I ordered the new fry season chicken tenders(which were terrible????), add... chili and cheese to my fries. I get the bag and thank goodness I looked before I drove off because they gave me regular fries.So then I let them know they left my chili cheese fries off, the girl at the window was tryin to see if she could just add it onwithout having to charge me since it was thier mistake, nope, they charged me. And then had the nerve to only put the cheese onmy fries, ???? I paid for chili and cheese, and then left out my ranch sauce, had to go back and get that. I tried to call themto speak to someone because I had already driven back to work. The phone just rings, no answer. I will say the girl working thewindow was nice but I still want what a paid for. Lady at the window is trying to tell me all 3 of our cards are declining. It's their system that's down and I just used 2 of the... 3 cards for other purchases. One while actually sitting in line of the drive thru. Then she wants to look at me crazy becauseshe doesn't know how to read the error messages. Enjoy throwing away all the food, what a waste.
