Reviews for Kabobs House in Duluth, GA
My family and I love the dishes! Delicious! ????
Lamp Soup with fried shredded pancakes. Delicious !
We've been to this place a few times. Used to love their kabobs but this evening was a big disappointment. The kabobs tasted... very different from the last time we visited. The lamb doesn't taste like lamb, the beef kabobs were a little bland. The porkbelly with mushroom was decent. The braised pork with rice isn't at all flavorful. And the worst was ???. I honestly have nothad one that tasted as bad as these. The skin was thick and hard, the filings were dry and there weren't any soup in the ???. Itook a bite and we left the dish untouched. Such BIG BIG disappointment! This will be the our last time there for sure! Read more
Good solid food. My wife & I like to come here for their grilled meat, meat of rice dishes and noodles. Very casual place.
Decided to dine in at a reasonable time (7pm on a Sunday) and the place wasn’t busy, just one other couple, but it felt like... we had inconvenienced the person working by being there or something because he was very short with us and didn’t really talkto us. We got the hotpot and Mapo Tofu. The hotpot wasn’t spicy and instead very salty and greasy. The mapo tofu was fine butI kept getting a crunchy texture that felt like when you accidentally drop eggshells in your scrambled eggs. It wasn’tconsistently in the dish like an intentional spice was added that had crunch, it was more random like something that wasn’tsupposed to be in there had gotten in. It was really off putting so to add it all up the experience was just disappointing. Read more
Dined in an hour or so before closing. My eating buddy and I were the only ones in there initially. 2 more groups came after us,... and 1 more tried to get seated 10 mins before closing…but the server said “We are closed” very bluntly with no sorry oranything and rushed them out, which I thought was kinda rude, he could have been a little nicer. Our service was just ok, he didpast my table a few times and didn’t refill my water when it was clearly empty. Anyway, this is a small establishment with afew booths on both sides and few tables in the middle. The open kitchen is in the back of the restaurant. The menu is basicallyChinese food with the main thing being kabobs. Here’s what we ordered and the ratings accordingly: Kabobs: I’m pretty surethey use the same seasoning/sauce on all of the kabobs by the way. - Fish cake 7/10. - Shrimp: 7/10. - Beef tendon ball 6/10.Kinda dry. - Squid tentacles 7/10. The only one that didn’t come on a skewer, it did come with scissors so we can cut it upthough. - Mushroom wrapped with pork belly: 10/10. This was the best kabob in my opinion. They use enoki, which are one of myfavorite mushrooms and it paired well with the pork belly. - Chicken heart (I don’t eat these, eating buddy got it…socan’t rate) Other dishes: - Hot & numbing beef spicy pot: 4/10. Despite the name, unfortunately it was not spicy or numbingat all. The star of the dish, the beef, was just very lacking. I took it home and had to add more flavor and seasoning to makeit taste good. However, I did enjoy the lotus root and potatoes in it. - Steamed pork buns: 6/10. Overall rating: This placewas alright, 3/5 stars. I wouldn’t get anything other then kabobs next time, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine hereagain to be honest. All the kabobs were just average to me. Read more
They have a great menu and the food is pretty good. I always get the numbing beef hotpot. And their chicken kabobs. I gave 4... stars since the customer service is not all there... they need to hire some more friendly sociable staff. Read more
This was a surprise find. We drove around randomly and found this place. The food is very traditional Chinese. It's like one of... the places targeting Chinese customers (almost). We were served with authentic menu and Chinese service (just one guy/waitor).It's a small restaurant with plenty seating for maybe groups of 6. We had a great meal of kabob and one of the hot fishes. Itwas very delicious. I would recommend it to anyone who is into traditional Chinese flavor cuisine. Read more
