Google recommend this place so I decided to try it: Ordered two steak burritos with guac (to go). As soon as I got home, I... started eating the burrito, half way through, and I am only eating rice, beans and lettuce. No steak No guac so far. I amdisappointed ???? but I am hungry ???? so I continue eating and towards the bottom there's some steak pieces, literally 2 or 3little pieces. I also got guac on the side for and I think whoever made it, had the wrong ratio of guac to salt. I neverthought you could mess up a burrito like that, I mean chipotle fails to wrap mine sometimes but at least there's some meat andguac when I order it. Whoever is going here, make sure to set your expectations low. The second burrito ???? was samestory! Also, two burritos + 1 side of guac + 1 side of chips is 40 dollars, unless you wanna waste your money and disappointyour stomach go here. Read more

Burrito Union used to be an excellent place to visit on a trip to the North Shore, practically a pilgrimage for many of my... friends. Recently, however, I have noticed a decline in quality and value. In previous years, I was able to order a burrito ina small or large size; The price for the large was around $16, and while that price has remained, the portion is now only thesmall size. Another problem is that these prices are no longer advertised on the main websites menu, which made for afrustrating surprise when we arrived. As an aside, I should say our server was fantastic, the staff overall seem to be doing agreat job. She was very accommodating and friendly. The quality of food remains good as well, which was the primary reason thatwe enjoyed visiting Burrito Union. However, when the check arrived, it was a qr code pointing to a Toast site. This siteinitially implied I would need to download an app to be able to pay my bill, and even after getting past that page, it forced meto provide an email for my receipt, which normally is fine, but it also made clear it would start sending me marketing emails, and I had no way to opt out or not provide an email. Lastly, Toast charged me an additional fee: I would really prefer to notpay a third party a fee on top of credit card processing fees. To be clear, this system does not make it easier for thecustomer, and adds a layer of annoyances that really lower my appreciation for the business. I do hope it improves efficiency onthe restaurant's end, because otherwise this feels like a downgrade in quality. Burrito Union is a totally alright restaurant, but it's quality and value continues to decline, and will no longer be a permanent stop on my trips to Duluth and the NorthShore. Read more

Burrito Union has a relaxing feel, and a great view of Lake Superior. Sit at a regular table, grab a stool at their large bar,... or enjoy the outdoors on their deck overlooking the lake. The staff are are very friendly, bringing the Minnesota Nice to yourtable. My bartender was ecstatic to offer me suggestions about their food or drink options when i asked. She articulated whatmixes of beer produce particular flavors, and what salsas would be a good pairing. Their unique menu and wide drink selectionleaves plenty of room to exercise your tastebuds. It?s clean and has a good vibe. Great service from the barkeep, Liv. Cadillac margarita is on point. Got the rancher with... jalapeños. Burrito reminds me of Chipotle and Qdoba?rice forward. ?Carnitas? was an afterthought. All waded up in one end.Carnitas should have a golden crisp from it?s own fat?Dutch oven. This was shredded pork and watery. I get it. As that previousmoron of a reviewer pointed out, it?s not Mexican. But when you list carnitas, it should be carnitas. The burritos should bemind blowing for $14 bones. The Fitgers presence is everywhere?swag, beer, website, menu. Don?t have their own identity. Andwash those 4th street windows, place looks closed. Good IPA though. Happy hour everyday from 3-6! Read more

I ordered a al pastor tacos and a Imperial chicken burrito. My 1st choice to try was the al pastor's tacos I saw pineapple on... that and I thought oh that might be weird but I tried it anyway and it was fantastic. To me it was so juicy and there there wasso much flavor. the pineapple just put a bang of extra flavor in it. There was a little spice but not too spicy just phenomenal. The burrito was OK I'm not as impressed as I am with the tacos because the burritos all just put together and that's it but thetacos looked like they were just like made with love. Highly recommend the tacos Read more
