Staff was friendly, facility needed updating and a thorough cleaning, bathroom was nasty. The food was absolutely the worst we... have paid for in a long time. The country fried chicken on a biscuit was so dried out and tough I could not cut through it withthe serrated knife, not to mention each half was slightly larger than a half dollar. We ate breakfast here at 7am on a Friday morning, having just stayed at the Edgewater hotel down the street. Standard Perkins.... Great view of the lake if you're sitting by one of those windows. We had the place to ourselves, so let the kids look at themaps of Lake Superior on the walls. All our food came out quickly, was cooked, and had ample condiments. Our evening breakfast was served deliciously hot. The food plating and presentation was delightful and appetizing. The waitress... and host were extremely kind and went out of their way to make sure our dinning experience was extraordinary. Since the Covid19 began, and all the restaurants closed down, I was just waiting for the chance to go to Perkins again. All I... wanted was their pancakes. I still wore my mask when going into the restaurant and leaving. Pros: Nothing Cons: Waitress attitude We were late guests and had our food ordered for us by some family. Everything turned... out how it should be and we were satisfied with that. The waitress seemed a bit snappy with our kids because they didn't hearher when she was setting their food down. My burger was dry, but the egg yolk moistened it up. Other than that, there wasn'tanything really bad. Nothing stood out either for me to think it was above any other Perkins I've been to. Read more
