First time here. Saw it recommended online so we decided to try it. Had a craving for a pizza so thought we'd try it over other... places in Canal Park. Guy taking order was super nice and friendly. Guys making the pizzas were also very cool and friendly.Great staff all around! Pizza was a little greasy. Beautiful thin crust pizza, that was delicious! Could definitely tell it washand worked and not just pressed by a machine. Cheesy Garlic bread was more than to be desired. Sliced cheese on the Frenchbread just didn't do it for me sadly. Read more
This is the worst pizza in Duluth greasy not cut well and really salty. Way to expensive for the quality. Thin and crispy more... like soft and rubbery. Cold when it arrived!!! Our pizza was OK. Nothing spectacular at all. Ordered the 4 meat pizza and asked for extra sauce looks like they just added more... ground hamburger to it and hardly any sauce at all it was very blah! The pepperoni pizza and bread sticks we also ordered werefine. I gave 2 stars because our delivery driver was phenomenal and very helpful!! Read more
Worst neighborhood ever! Best pizza ever. Been eating at Sammy's for over 50 years. And would hope to eat there another 50.... Crisp crust, great toppings, this location has the best of the Sammy's. Would be very hesitant to go there at night but forlunch a must. A note: if you use a credit card there is a surcharge. Read more
Pretty gazz pizza. The service was great and everyone super friendly. We got the pesto pizza and it was very good all around. ... A cheezy pizza, the pizza bottom was a little flimsy; not hard or dry and the crust was perfect and flaky. We got some spaghettiand fettuccine Alfredo . I know I must have reviewed this before. Perhaps Google deletes them after a few years. West Duluth Sammy?s is the best... Sammy?s. I think I?ve been to all of them, across the country, certainly in MN, and this one is the best. I?ve been eating thepepperoni and sausage since I was a kid. When I get back to Duluth, our first stop is always west Duluth Sammy?s. The sausagethey use on their pizza, there?s nothing like it anywhere. Even if you think you don?t like sausage, you have to get thesausage. It?s real Italian sausage. The crust at west Duluth Sammy?s is the best. Light, crumbly. Perfect. I just stopped byagain last weekend and was shocked to see my review from many years ago is no longer on here. So here is my new review. Go nowto any Sammy?s if you like pizza. Go to west Duluth Sammy?s if you want the best pizza. While we were there we also tried thebreaded wings. Absolutely delicious. The breaded wings dunked in some Sammy?s red sauce was great.
