The buffet was pretty good. Food for the most part was hot. There were a couple selections of pizza....Thin crust. One kind of... pasta two different sauces ( one red and one white) and two flavors of chicken wings. Nice salad bar. Staff kept the buffetsurfaces clean. Had to wait for pizza to be replenished. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was busy when we were there. Read more

As a chain it was great value. Enjoyed the all you can eat buffet and it was hot and fresh. Staff kept the buffet full. ... Bathroom was super clean so I make the assumption that the kitchen is kept in a similar fashion. Read more

Held a birthday party here in the private room. Served 24 guests buffet style with apps to start, salad bar and 6 large pizzas.... Pitchers of beer, pop, and water. All went well, our server was kept busy and did a great job. Everything was hot, tasty, and asexpected for this group of Sammy's veterans! Highly recommend for parties of up to 30. Read more

Actually 4 1/2 stars, Sammy's is renowned for their pizza (which doesn't excite me), but I got a burger yesterday, and had to... let you know. This is stop #5 of my burger tour, and I rate Sammy's as a strong 3rd. Who knew? I'll definitely be back, we'llsee if they're consistent. Read more

Had Thin crust pizza and garlic cheese bread. A bit pricey, I thought, though it could have been worse. Lots of old people... there. Pizza was good and we thought the thin crust was very tasty (didn't know it was going to be thin - and I usually don't sothin cause I'm cheap). Good atmosphere except a section had chairs up on tables which didn't help the look. Good service. Possible I'd try it again next time I'm here. Read more

Buffet was really small for $15 a person. The buffet area is small room in the back separate from the the rest of the... restaurant. There was limited choice and pizza was cold. The only saving grace was the pasta. We ate the pasta after trying thepizza. I RECOMMEND THE PASTA! Read more

When we go through Duluth now on any trips to the north shore, we try to time it so it's lunch time when we go through. We tried... Sammy's pizza a couple of years ago because it was marathon weekend and we were not able to get down to Canal Park easily, so weordered a pizza to go and ate at a park. It was really good, and remembered fondly by our kids. So much so that they insisted wedo that again this year. We did, and it was as good as we recalled. My 10 year old declared it her favorite pizza. Thin crust, cut into squares- sauce was good, could use a bit more spice but the kids like it this way more. Of course pepperoni helps thatespecially when you get that just right amout of grease out of cooked pepperoni. Sammy's did not disappoint! Read more

We ordered their famous cheese garlic bread and a veggie pizza (medium). The garlic bread was too buttery; little uncooked but... tasted fine. The pizza, on the other hand, had a hard crust and did not taste good at all. It tasted like a typical dominospizza except the extra hard crust! Read more
