Some good and a lot of bad here. Great location and a short drive from Fredericton. It's a scenic drive, we enjoyed it. Food... was mediocre. Only cash accepted. The good # Eggs, sausages and Dumfries maple syrup (yumm). The bad # Pancakes , home bakedbreakfast bread, burnt bacon and maple butter. Issue with Pancake and baked bread # Tased very weird. We felt it was excessiveuse of baking powder / baking soda to make them fluffy. What we ordered # 3 x breakfast specials with sausages and 1 xbreakfast special with bacon strips. Coffee was mediocre ( the same as you get in a diner ). We went early morning 9 am. Norush got a table on the patio. Great host , no complaints. Love their maple syrup, it's the best. Read more

We did not have a good experience. We had to wait about an hour to be served the breakfast. We had to ask several times for a... forgotten bevarage and additional coffee. Long time without being asked if everything os ok. You could notice pressure in thestaff. I wouldn't go back again.... Read more

The employees here are super friendly and helpful. We went to have breakfast and it was pretty busy inside. Cozy atmosphere, the... smell of pancakes and maple is amazing. The pancakes were very tasty and HUGE. I could only eat 1. We visited in late Marchwhen most if the snow was gone. They have a machine that cools maple so even if there is no snow you can still have maple candyon a stick. The view of the river across the street is really great too. Read more

A little bit of history and a stackful of delicious!! The pancakes are the best I?ve had so far in all of Canada...now add the... maple syrup! This family business is a real treat for locals and visitors alike. The pancakes are full plate size so considerjust one. Syrup on the sausage works well too. Read more

Best pancakes within an hour of Fredericton, and some of my favourite maples, local or domestic. And I'm picky about my... maples. Bit of a drive but it's worth it just for the scenery of the river valley. Then you get a full delicious breakfast as abonus. The pancake house is a nice open log cabin. Service has always been quick, and they're super friendly folks. We try tomake at least one trip out a year with friends, and another just as a couple. Usually just get one single, full plate sized, soft and fluffy pancake, with a sausage or bacon. Comes with real butter, and a bottle of syrup on the table. Usually we'repretty full after that, but if you have extra room get a biscuit with maple cream - incredible. And if you've never tried it,and you're there at the right time, it's worth trying the maple candy off the snow. Read more

We had a mixed experience here. The part where you get to see how maple syrup is made and you get a taffy was very cool. The... person who was explaining everything to us was very friendly and talkative. The restaurant, however, was a whole differentstory. The waitresses were extremely rude, constantly sighing and complaining. They took forever to take our order and foreverto actually bring it to the table. And when they did the order was incorrect. When I pointed that out the waitress got annoyedand begrudgingly brought us the right order. Overall it?s cool to see the maple shack and the tapped trees with buckets andwitness how it?s made but not worth it for the restaurant. Read more
