It will be a looooong time before I eat here again. Last night we waited 10+ minutes just for a glass of water! The waitress,... when ever she showed her face , warned us it would be a wait as the brew pub was busy and the kitchenoverwhelmed...understandable. We had no idea that meant we would wait 1 AND 3/4 HOURS! With a toddler at our table,that feltlike an eternity and we were late getting home! To top it off the portions were small and the food just OK,definitely NOT worththe wait. We left hungry and disappointed. Not sure if I will ever go back. Now you have been warned. Friends and I have chosen ? Just Jake?s? as THE place we go to for a ? girl?s lunch? once a month for the past three months?... food delicious and good selection; service great; and decent prices? nice friendly atmosphere!! Chef is creative. Great presentation of menu items. The specials today were excellent. Excellent serving staff, they understand... dining protocol which is awesome. After a long day of work, we came here for our dinner, we wanted to try something local, instead of the chain restaurants. We were driving from Nanaimo to Victoria and stopped here for dinner. Our server (Max) was very nice & attentive! We had 1... appetizer and 1 Entree each. (Pictures attached) I really liked the build your own fish tacos. I wasn?t too hungry when arrived,but ended up finishing the whole thing. If we are back in the area, we will be back! Read more
Pretty much a winner in the Duncan dining scene. Have been here twice and both times the food has been great and the service... perfect. Lots of menu variety. The ambience is very nice and it's right downtown. Will most likely be back. Read more
Purchased a cake for a friend from JUST DESSERTS and, unfortunately, the cake has almost no decorations and looks very messy :(
