Tasty, but I find White Spot is getting pricey these days. I ordered the legendary burger plate with a coffee. The burger with... fries and a scoop of cole slaw was only $14 - but the slice of process cheese on top was an extra $2, and the cup of coffeeanother $4. With tax and tip, $25 for the most basic meal. The food is better than the average burger joint, but not twice asgood. Read more

Went to Duncan white spot after 5 years. Last time I was there I had a terrible experience to say the least. This time I was... quickly seated by the nice hostess and served by the fast and wonderful Alyssa. She was super helpful guiding me through thegluten free menu, offering me the best suggestions. Unfortunately her shift was finished half way through my meal:(, but I waspleasantly passed along to Jenna. She was just as wonderful and had an amazing attitude. Will be coming back for sure. The food was the worst I have ever had. The hash browns were cooked then deep fried tasted like old grease and a disgusting... crunch. The pancakes tasted like they came right out of the just add water box with a taste like artificial buttermilk gross. Mydaughters Denver omelet wasn?t cook she wasn?t able to eat. The waitress was clueless. Never asked how the meal was even thoughneither was eaten. If I could give it a minus 5 star I would. Read more

Service and coffee were great! $17 for a McMuffin? Really? It was OK. Hash browns were, um, very crispy. Not going back on my... dime! No option for yogurt or anything healthy. It was coffee or $17, nothing in between. I don?t normally eat breakfast andwould have been fine with a yogurt or toast and a coffee. Read more

We were extremely satisfied with this White Spot restaurant in Duncan. The hostess who greeted us and Maiya, our server, were... very kind and friendly. Although it took a little bit longer than a usual wait, the food we ordered was excellent! Something wasreally special about all our meals that deserve a special 5 stars rating and our compliments to the chef. All of them werebetter than any other White Spot restaurant. Definitely a place to stop by, if you are travelling along the Trans Canada toNanaimo, Parksville or up island (or otherwise, to Victoria). Thank you! Read more

My daughter and I went to the Duncan White Spot for breakfast. We ordered the hearty breakfasts with waffles rather than toast.... In addition my daughter asked for 1 piece of toast as well as the half waffle. The food was good but when I got home and lookedat the bill, we had been charged $3.99 for one piece of toast. When you add that to the $18 per breakfast, plus $3.99 each for acoffee and tea the total for the meal was over $50 with $12 of that being toast and drinks. I called the restaurant and asked ifthat was normal practice to charge $3.99 for one piece of bread and apparently it should have been $1.85. There was no offer ofcompensation so I left a message for the manage to call me and it's been 7 days and no call. Hence the review. This is not thefirst time this has happened at this location. My feelings would be different if I heard back from the manager but I didn't sowill probably not be going there again. Read more
