I called in advance and placed an order on Monday to be picked up on Wednesday afternoon between 2:00 and 3:00. I wanted to give... them plenty of notice since it was a large order so they would have plenty of notice about how much food they would need toprepare and so they could have it ready when I arrived. When I got to the store today at 2:45 the ladies behind the counter wereboth talking to a customer who they obviously knew personally. They did not greet me or speak to me when I came in so I juststood in line quietly. After I had been waiting much too long the customer said ? you can go ahead and help him so he doesn?thave to keep waiting ?. The girl behind the counter said ? no I don?t want to. He can just wait ?. When they finally did help meI was told I would need to come back in about 40 minutes because they had not put my order together yet and they didn?t haveenough brisket already cooked. That was the whole reason I called ahead!! When I asked why they hadn?t put my order togetherearlier since they knew I was coming she shrugged and said i have been busy today so I just didn?t get around to it. When I cameback an hour later one of the girls was just leaning on the counter and one was slicing the brisket. My order still had not beenput together. Once again no one spoke to me and there was one customer in front of me so I stood quietly and waited. I guess theone who wasn?t doing anything finally noticed me and she started putting my order in a sack. I finally made it out with my food.I don?t think all of this would have been so bad if they would have at least been friendly and apologetic. They 100% just lost acustomer. Read more

Brisket is dry and they still charge the brisket surcharge of $2.99 online. When I asked about it I was told I needed to speak... to the owner. The ribs are generally good. The sides and customer service are awful. Read more

Slow. Got in drive thru. Left because to slow. Went next door to Braums to get milk. Came back, no one in line. Rang bell 3... times. Was going to drive off then someone opened the window. Said he had other costumers. When I drove threw there was no onein dinning room. Only one car there. Must of been worker. Read more

I hate this because we usually had good experiences in the past. But the 3 times we?ve been here this year has been awful. I did... contact the owner the first time and he was very nice and sent a gift card to make up for the issues. However, the two times wewent since then we had a missing side the first visit. Today I asked for spicy sauce and got no sauce at all and no silverwareor napkins which is very typical at this location. I don?t think they?ve given either of those things in at least a year or so.I usually take it home so not that big of a deal with the fork or napkins but bbq sauce or sides are kind of a big deal. Lots of people have difficulties with certain types of food not digesting well. I try to not make a fuss, just eating what I... know I can. But when it comes to needing sustenance that will not twist your gut into knots, for me that's protein. My bodydoesn't digest a lot of vegetables. And barbecue kind of gets all clumped together as being some kind of smoked meat with aslathering of sweet or spicy sauce with cold sides. But smoked meat and barbecue sauce are not the same thing. Billy Sims'smoked meat is divine. The ribs are succulent, slightly caramelized from the flame, you add sauce if you want but I don't needit. This meat is good. That means they buy a good quality of meat and they know how to cook it. Their sides are yummy, althoughI can only personally speak to the potato salads and the mac and cheese because everything else is inedible to me. Those aretasty! But I don't go there for the sides. I go there for the meat. I think some of us are throwbacks to previous evolutions,because there's no doubt in my mind I'm a carnivore. I don't care what anybody else eats, that's their business, but come frommy ribs and we'll have to have a chat outside. Read more

I have a number of difficult dietary issues, and one thing I can eat is meat. Potato salad isn't a problem, mac and cheese, it's... just fine. Billy Sims prepares their meat perfectly. I've been to good barbecue restaurants in other places, and their brisketand their ribs easily compete. The smoked turkey is also good. And if you're really hungry, they make an amazing dessert that iseasy to share with someone else. Read more

The schooner salad is one of our favorites for take out, but we want salad dressing with them. If you are only going to fill... the dressing container 1/3 full, please include three containers with each salad, or just fill the dressing container. Read more
