Was visiting Desoto from out of town. My ain’t was craving seafood. We didn’t have many options as majority of restaurants... closed at 9pm. Arrived at 740pm. Was told 45 minute wait for party of 4. It appeared there were 4 small parties ahead of us. By815 pm we decided to order a drink from the bar while we waited. Ordered 3 drinks. We were told we were unable to order anappetizer while we waited for our table. About 845 we get seated. It was obvious they were short staffed. Tables with emptydishes on top and dirty napkins on the floor. I ordered salmon, which was cooked to long. Dirty rice as a side that wasn’tcooked long enough. My cousin ordered the lobster tail. It too was also dry and was so parched it appeared to be boiled with nowater. No melted butter alongside it to drown out the smoke. Service was subpar , food just bad. 3 meals + 3 drinks costed $200.No regard for bad service or food. Read more

Considering we went on Valentines Day I have to say that I was very impressed. We did set a reservation in advance, and were... seated reasonably fast considering how busy they were. The staff was very nice, even though they had to be very busy andunderstaffed. The food was amazing and so delicious. The fried Alligator was so flavorful and tender, and the size of thepieces were huge! I don't think I've ever eaten any as good anywhere else. It was actual meat chunks instead if a tiny strip ofmeat and mostly breading. The Ginger glazed Salmon was so flavorful and tender. The Mahi was done beautifully and very tasty. And the catfish was perfectly moist and had a nice glisten to it ; not dry at all or over battered. We had a wonderful mealexperience. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner or special occasion lunch. It is up there price wise,but worth it!! Read more
The stars were aligned for lunch at Pappadeaux. The warm welcome from the hostesses on this chilly day was much appreciated. ... Excellent bar service provided by Jarius, a mouthwatering meal prepared to perfection, the safety precautions in place and thesounds of happiness that filled the air each made this an amazing lunch experience. Never disappoints! I had the Catfish Opolusas ( I think I spelled that right) and it’s always sooooo good! The flavor is... outstanding. I like to also get a loaded baked potato because they literally have the best potatoes ever! For my drink I had thedirty dirty and it’s my favorite! First poor experience ever. Wait staff waited forever to greet me. I was never brought bread. I had to ask for refills. The... salad lettuce was disgusting and the seafood had a horrible smell. The two groups sat on either side of me. Also love watchingthe bartender eat while waiting on me and working BEHIND THE BAR. I’m not sure what is going on at this location but I willnever return.
