Just tried this restaurant last night and I was floored at how great everything was! The service was amazing from everyone.... Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. The place was packed but we were served in a timely manner beginning to end.Since we weren?t very hungry we ordered just a few appetizers, crab cakes and Garlic & Goat cheese dip and some drinks. Our experience at the Collins Brewhouse was fantastic. Great food, beautiful patio, and just an all around good time. Their... lobster fest is on right now and it is worth it! But more than any of that I want to give a shout-out to our server, Patrick. Honestly, his energy, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for the food and restaurant in general were an absolute treat. He wascharismatic and engaging with not only us, but with every table he was serving. We will be returning to see Patrickagain! I have been a resident in Dundas for the last 20 years and have been to the Collins many times with friends and family. I... recently went last weekend with my girlfriend for a night out and was seated on the patio. I am not one to ever write negativereviews but after my last visit, it is well warranted. The waiter was very friendly and funny but was often over the top andinterrupted into many conversations I was trying to have during my peaceful dinner. To start, we ordered the mojitos. You wouldthink for a $14 cocktail you would receive something of equal value. No. The mojito didn?t even have mint but we were toldinstead it was made with a house sugar to replace the mint, and was served in a skinny glass, that tasted no where near a?mojito?. Next, the waiter recommended to me that I try the peppercorn steak with goat cheese on top as I love steak, so Iordered it, medium rare. This was the most disappointing thing ever. For a nearly $40 steak, it was served almost completelyuncooked to the point that I couldn?t even cut it or bite into the steak (see photo attached), this was just so disturbing anddisappointing that a restaurant would even allow something like this to be served! I showed the waiter and he was even shockedat the steak, even telling me his manager was surprised to see it after he showed them. They offered to cook me a new steak,which at that point I had already lost my appetite and my girlfriend had already finished her meal. The new steak arrived muchlater and was cooked well done not even medium rare, as I ordered, but at least it was cooked this time. Lastly, I was given thebill and was extremely surprised to see that I was actually charged the full amount after being served a raw steak and ruiningmy whole meal and experience. The total was almost $90 before tip for 2 mojitos, an uncooked steak, and a club sandwich. Thiswas an absolute rip off and I wish it could have been made up to us as we used to enjoy the Collins.
