The entire staff at Escape Root is the perfect example of who any company or organization wants representing their brand. This... staff is kind, compassionate, and just all around honorable humans! A few weeks back, I had been looking forward to my bowl allday and dropped in mid-afternoon to pick up a bowl to take home, neglecting to realize they close at 3pm. I was having a VERYrough day personally and when they politely said they were closed, the weight of my day/personal things at that time got thebest of me & my emotions, as this bowl was the highlight of my day I had been looking forward to all day. Not only did they nottreat me like a crazy person for my emotions that day, the two amazing women went above & beyond to not only make me the bowl Icame for after they had already cleaned up, but they made me a 2nd to take home as well. The world could learn a lot fromEscape Root & their staff, to treat every customer as an individual, treating everyone with mutual respect, kindness, andultimately compassion & understand. Escape Root is the gem of Dunedin! We love to spend our mornings here, drinking organic espresso, having blue bowls + playing... board games. Lily gives the girls behind the bar 5 stars! ? Seriously amazing service, so many smiling faces first thing in the morning,... these are my kind of people! I wish it wasn't so far but I am definitely stopping through here every chance I get! The smoothieswe got this morning are incredibly delicious, fresh, flavorful, happiness in a cup. I got the Slater smoothie and it's AMAZING.We also got the Sunrise in Kenya smoothie and YUM! Doubtful that they have something on their huge menu that you won't love.Coolers full of fresh pressed juices, kombucha on tap, matcha lattes, shots of all the roots!
