Food was good but very limited menu with being more geared for dinner opposed to lunch and dinner. Unfortunately we went at... lunch time ended up with a meal one would get at dinner time both my husband and I are on it more than once at home. Atmospherewas cafe set up in a home for the most part no booths. Pretty laid back atmosphere. Read more

first time there for a late lunch & it is out in the country. Nice place & has a massive cookie jar collection around the upper... wall inside. Waitress was very nice & took care of us. Rolls & cornbread are brought upon seating. Got the grilled meatloafwhich still tasted the same but had the charred edges. The breaded chicken was good as well. The sides were good and all wasgood size portions. As for the deserts they was plenty to pick from. We got cupcakes to go & tasted great. It appears to be aplace that you will have a wait to get seated but plan you trip & it will be worth it. Read more

The Cookie Jar Cafe is such a charming place with beautiful views. I just loved all the cookie jars lining the walls. You get a... delicious home-cooked meal for a reasonable price. My husband had the fried catfish meal and I had the fried chicken liver mealand everything was delicious! Be prepared to take home leftovers because you get a lot of food for your money. Also, don'tforget to take some dessert home with you. I bought a piece of coconut cake and I believe that was probably the best coconutcake I have ever had. I didn't even get around to eating it until the next day and it was still so moist. My husband said hiscarrot cake was good too! Read more

This has been a go to spot for us for years. Just 45 minutes from Chattanooga and in Central Time Zone, you can get dinner at... 6:30 ET and beat the local crowd. Great food, friendly service with a beautiful view and a gorgeous valley. Read more

Truly a gem in the middle of somewhere. Simple, understated country decor with family style menu. Wide variety of entree's and... sandwiches to fit everyone's taste buds. Special treat for those who can make it to dessert as they have fresh, home madecakes, pies, and cupcakes. We enjoyed the fried catfish and the BBQ pork. Very plentiful portions which were seasoned andcooked just right. Wait staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient. All in all an enjoyable experience. Read more
