I read about this place briefly before heading in. More than just a pleasant surprise. I was up-ended from my expectations. The... executive chef and kitchen staff executed a perfect rare burger, customized to my request. Request. The serving staff was busybut super attentive, and made sure I got exactly what I asked for and checked in on regularly. Regularly. Kudos for serving up ameal to remember while I'm traveling in NEPA. What made the burger outstanding, was clearly the cut of meat and how it wasseared. Seared. The caramelized onions were like a jam and the recommendation to have Cooper cheese on top was a welcomed one.The burger just melted as I ate it. I could only get through about half of it as I had also ordered a side of fries with brisketon it to give it a sampling. Thank goodness I did that... Not for health reasons, of course, but simply to get to try thebrisket. Brisket. The fries are homemade and bring out what is best about fresh potatoes cooked to perfection. There are crispyon the outside and steamy soft on the inside. The cheese sauce was perhaps unnecessary, but the brisket was something else.Flavorful, and fall apart good. For the sake of not gorging myself, I forked up the brisket and left most of the potatoes on theplate. It's just a sign that portions are huge. Which brings me to price point... I know I come from an expensive state, for howthey managed to bring this much amazing good food, well prepared, to this price, his mind boggling. Had a chance to chat withone of the kitchen staffers as they took a break outside while I was reading the story of the executive chef. It's clear theculture in the kitchen is both demanding but respectful. We came across this gem of a bar after a long day of skiing and were totally blown away by the experience AND the food! What a... cool place to hang out at. All around good vibes from the very friendly barman who gave us great recommendations on what toorder from the menu. If you're looking for a cheat meal - THIS is the place to go! So good. Make sure you try the hot garlicparmesan sauce, and if you're adventurous, mix with their ranch. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. Thankyou! Read more
Stopped by this place after dropping off a rental car and couldn?t be happier with my decision. I was in Pennsylvania for a week... on business and this was hands down the best meal I had the whole time. The service was phenomenal, and the bar itself is a coollittle spot to stop in. 100/10 would and will be recommending this establishment to any and all of my coworkers as they go tothis area to our companies home office. When I?m back in the area I will definitely be stopping back by. - side note, I?m fromArkansas and was with my manager who is from Oklahoma and we both agreed that the bbq coming out of 3 Jacks could hold its ownagainst any coming out of the South.
