We loved this place with its local grown ingredients and house made cheese. There is a market next to the grill selling veggies... and one of a kind treasures. Pricey but unique. The grill offers indoor and outdoor dining. We split the Blue Cheese BaconBarbecue burger. The flavors were perfect although the burger probably better for one person instead of two. The fingerlingpotatoes were cooked just right and we enjoyed them down to the last bite. The Apple coleslaw was fresh and crunchy. This placeserves some of its food in cute white tin dishes dimmed in red. Beautiful views. You will be glad you came. Read more
We has heard about this place from a couple of YouTube channels, so we decided to stop in. It did not disappoint. We had the BBQ... Bacon Blue Cheese burger and the Mushroom burger with fingerling fries. Delicious! You can sit out on the deck and enjoywatching the clouds roll by or wander the real working farm on the premises. This restaurant is a true farm to table experienceand I recommend it highly! Read more
I can?t say enough good things about this place. It?s not just about the outstanding food (hands down the absolute best... burgers), James Ranch offers one of the very best experiences in Durango! It?s where we bring all of our friends and family! Thestaff are amazing, views overlooking the Animas River Valley are breathtaking, and they have friendly goats, music and funevents for the entire family! Tried the veggie burger and it was amazing! Had no clue it was made solely of squash ???? the view was nice everyone was very... friendly. We got the BLT, beet salad, pico burger , kid's burger, red wine and Arnold Palmer. Everything was great. I shopped at the deli,... which though a bit pricey has quality local produce and organic food stuffs. The kids loved the little goats and space to runaround. Such a cute little place! The food was fantastic - especially the fries! I could have just eaten a plate of those and been... completely happy. The guy who took our order was awesome. We had a really nice chat about Kansas. The seating is mostly outside.This is great because the mountains surrounding the area are gorgeous and add to the charm. They had live music out on the patiowhile we were there which was nice. Take the time to walk around after your meal and check out the farm. Read more
This place is absolutely beautiful! It is a super cool place to eat my only compliant is how burnt the bun was on my gluten free... sandwich. My husband got the gluten version and had a nice fluffy bun. They did have a vegetarian Squash burger that was prettyyummy, the fries were definitely the star of the show and you could tell they were homemade ??. They had two precious goats youcould love on as well that were absolute sweethearts. All the animals were very well taken care of! Read more
