Favorite Mexican food restaurant in Durango. Great salsa, tacos and a variety of tequilas.

The salsa is excellent! The service was really efficient, once the host seated us, our menus and chips and salsa were promptly... delivered. Our waitress was delightful. Out of curiosity we asked about one of the menu items. She honestly said she hated itbut it was quite popular. I love an honest opinion. My fajitas were good, heavy on the meat and light on the onions andpeppers. To cut corners and improve profits, many Mexican restaurants go heavy on the beans and rice and light on theentree.....not Nayarite.....the entree filled the plate and the beans and rice were truly a side. Prices are also veryreasonable. We will return, Durango is needing a good Mexican restaurant. Read more

This was a nice little restaurant near our hotel. The food was very good with a cozy environment. They also had the option... of outdoor seating on a covered patio. We had Queso Fundito for an appetizer which arrived sizzling hot in a cute turtle pot. For our main meals we had the Mahi Tacos, Fajita Burrito and Enchiladas. They were all very good.
