Amazing service and even better food. Yes, this place is pricy—but it’s a perfect example of “you get what you pay for.”... From the half glass of wine for me and mocktail for my 7 year old upon seating to the food and drink recommendations, theservice was impeccable and made us feel like we were the most important diners in the restaurant. The food was perfectly timed;none of that “here’s your salad” and three minutes later, your meal. Plan to spend both money and time here—this isn’ta $20 get-in-get-out place—but you’ll enjoy every minute of it. Read more

Recommend making reservations. You are asked to deposit $25 per person to hold your reservation which will be refunded when you... actually show up. I thought it went towards the price of the meal. There is also seating at a bar which I believe is for noreservation seating.This restaurant has been in Durango, just off Main Street, since 1972. My parents used yo eat here. We cameto celebrate my birthday and my mom who passed away last year. We were promptly seated. Super attentive staff, Dow to earth,friendly. The menu isn’t huge, which I like. Specialty is steak and surf. Was hoping for a chicken choice. There was a secretmenu and a pork tenderloin was included in the secret menu. Housemade cornbread. It had a good flavor, served with a baconbutter, but didn’t hold its shape well so we ate it with a fork and generally made a crumbly mess. We ordered a 14 oz ribeye,which we split. They also split it in the kitchen cooking it to 2 different temps. Perfection. I would have preferred adifferent knife that was actually sharp. The lobster tails came with clarified butter and these were sweet and tender. We alsoordered the wedge salad. It had a crispy thin fried onion, tomatoes, fried chunks of pie Kelly, and a sprinkle of Blue Cheesecrumble from a local James Ranch in Durango. The wedge had a slight char. My husband’s had part of the core but we are a gameof finding the core in our salads. There was also a sprinkle of champagne vinegarette along the perimeter of the plate that wasdivine. I would have preferred the Blue Cheese crumble and this dressing instead of the Blue Cheese dressing. The crumble wasnice but the dressing overpowered the salad. We ordered the asparagus and potato to share. The asparagus with a bernaisesauce-asparagus were cooked perfectly. The sauce was ok. I would order it on the side. This place is top shelf. Amazing staff everyone was working together. The drinks are flawless and the bar is fantastic. The food... is phenomenal with crab cake appetizer and the filet was cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant completes theexperience with dark wood, low light, the decor and seating. The Ore house is more then a restaurant it's an experience. If youhave high expectations for quality and service and know that costs a premium for that kind of service you will not bedisappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friends and family on 7/3/22. Service was impeccable. Drinks fantastic. Food was awesome.... My steak was cooked perfectly as was everyone else’s. I highly recommend the Ore House. Read more

Wow! What an amazing experience. This restaurant looks a bit sleepy on the outside, but inside it has amazing ambiance. We sat... at the bar and the bartenders not only made incredible craft cocktails with local spirits, but entertained us with fabulousconversation. The steak was a little underdone, I ordered medium-rare and it was cold in the center, but I ate it anywaybecause it was delicious, and took half of it home for breakfast. It's a bit pricey, but totally worth it for specialoccasions. The price of the meat includes no side dishes. Sometimes I prefer that so I can get two vegetable dishes instead ofa starch. Spicy, warm cornbread is served in a cast-iron pan with butter. Overall, it was a lovely meal. We will be backagain, for sure. Read more

This is a MUST-TRY steakhouse when your in Durango. It’s not only delicious, it’s an experience! Every item that touched our... table was divine. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were beautifully served. This is one of the best dining experience my partner and I had so far. It was our first time dining at this place. I was... welcomed by some great cocktails. We were greeted outside by a gentleman that was extremely hospitable. Our server was great andvery knowledgeable. I would like to thank Oscor and Ben for making our night so special. The lobster tail was delicious. Myhusband had a steak and it was so good. I got a champagne as a present since it was my birthday celebration. Cant wait to gothere again. Ben you are my favorite .You went above and beyond that night. Great customer service. I would highly recommend this place! Read more

We had such an incredible experience. It was our first time visiting .. and from the moment we showed up, it was fantastic. We... were greeted outside by a gentleman that was extremely hospitable. Our server was amazing. Knowledgeable , kind , and genuine.The surf surf and turf was out of this world. Filets were perfectly cooked. One of the best meals I’ve had in a very longtime.
