Passing through town and stopped here for a late breakfast. Food and service were great! Glad we chose Jimmy's!
Breakfast was really good and the right portion size. My only negative is I ordered a side of fruit at $3.29 and I received a... small bowl that had 1 grape and partially empty and should have cost no more than $1.50. Went to JE the day we were heading back to Dallas, 10/16. Place was packed but we were seated quickly. Service was great. Food... was pretty good. We went to another breakfast spot in town the day before and liked it a tad bit better-- but JE was still good.I judge places by if I would return and they pass the test, I would visit here again, but if I am choosing between the two, Iwould eat at the other. This is my second bad experience before writing a review. But after this last visit I?m done. We ordered a griddle combo that... came with 2 flavored pancakes 2 eggs bacon and sausage. We ordered the sausage burned. After our server talks while our foodsits in the window she yells for them to make some of the precooked sausage crispy. She brings the room temp food at this point.The sausage wasn?t there and she said it would be out in a minute. It came out still grey and under cooked. We told her to justtake it off the ticket. This is after I wait over 3 minutes for my syrup so my pancakes got even colder. We were never offeredrefills for our drinks. Dirty dishes stacked up. It was the worst service and experience. Then the server says we took $21 offyour ticket I?m so sorry for this. We look at the ticket and it was originally $45 for breakfast for 2?!? They didn?t takeanything off for us or do us any favors. Needless to say we left still hungry. We are semi cold food and never had any breakfastmeat. The acting manager yelled at us and told us it?s against policy for them to send out burned meat. It should be againstpolicy to send it raw and against the customers request. She cleared our dishes and angry walked away without offering us to godrinks or anything. We left upset. We went here for breakfast this morning, and it did not disappoint. While it was pretty crowded in there, NOT my strong suit... these days, but they did have plastic dividers up in the booths, so that was OK. Otherwise, no. Oh wow! What a new experience. I've never been to a Jimmy's Egg and thought I would trust Google to show me a good breakfast... place. Boy did Google do right! I ordered the Pot Roast Egg Benedict and it was the best egg creation I've had in a while. The flavor of the pot roast was intense while mixing with the eggs benedict. Holy cow. I want to create this at my home now!! The servers were great and the place was clean. I'll be looking for a Jimmy's Egg on my next adventure out. Read more
I specifically asked for 4 more of the creamer I was using for the coffee. That should have been enough for the waitress to know... that I expected to have 2 more refills. After she dropped off the ticket, she began neglecting my service. The coffee costs$2.59 so I don't expect 3 refills to be treated as excessive. My whole meal after tax was $15.95. The chicken fried steak wasobviously cheap, pre-breaded generic so something has to bring customers back and it wasn't the food, service, or price. What'sleft? Read more
