The food is awesome, I got the Piggyback burger, quarter pound burger fried chicken breast, and thick cut bacon all placed... nicely between two buns. And it was not messy. The sandwich did not fall apart as I was eating it, the fries are pretty goodtoo. That being said, I may have picked the wrong day to be there, Hop and Grind is right in the middle of Durham, and thereforeright in the middle of the UNH campus, and I think we visited when every parent decided to visit their child for the weekend andtake them to the same restaurant that we were at. It was kind of hectic and chaotic, but the distractions fit the whole decorand ambiance of a really good burger joint. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area, but truth be told I'd rather go to theone in Peabody Mass if it have a reopens, because their mac and cheese is to die for. Read more

First visit, as advertised, excellent food, quick service. Had the double burger with jalapenos. Wife had chicken sandwich with... feta cheese. Bro had veggie burger, Texas Cole slaw all outstanding. Sis in law had the Bacon burger, said it was excellent. Home made cola was perfect. If in the area, leave the grind and hop on in, you won't be disappointed. Read more
Love this spot, cool vibe inside, great for a casual lunch or dinner. Been a dozen times and haven't been disappointed yet. My... favorite is the big poppar chicken sandwich, if you like a spicy chicken sandwich this one won't let you down. Great beerselection too. And the malted milkshakes are amazing! Read more

Really like the creativity, flavors, quality is all very good! The menu is kinda weird and overwhelming but the food is... outstanding! I really enjoy their normal fries. The special ones are over the top. But the Parma Sutra is phenomenal!! Soooooogood! Read more
Brain child of super star uber creative chef Bobby Marcotte, Hop & Grind is alone in the category of real burger and fries, you... can't find anything like it The combination of flavor is genius, the fries are cooked in beef tallow and the meats used arenatural hormone free. They keep a fresh list of local beers. The funky atmosphere combined with the best service you will findanywhere makes this place a must visit, even if like me you have to drive 40 minutes both way. So worth the drive. Fair warning,they are in the heart of UNH Durham, so it gets crazy busy when the kids are in campus. Read more
Sat at the bar. Wanted an unsweetened ice tea, only bottled sweetened available. Had a burger with bacon, provolone and bbq... sauce. BBQ sauce is a mustard BBQ... Sweet with a tiny bite. I expected a big juicy burger... they're actually a small, thin,square patty.. didn't taste bad just not the juicy burger that I prefer. Fries were eh.. small, thin lukewarm fries. Atmospherewas very loud with people and music. Service was good. Not sure I'd go back, if I did it wouldn't be for a burger and fries;left still feeling hungry. Read more
