I am a loyal Texas Roadhouse Customer and have been to several different locations. Dined here last week and the experience... definitely could’ve been better. The food was great as always, but the service was lacking. Most of the staff seemed as ifthey were on another planet. We were seated at one table, and after they got us our drinks told us they’d sat us in the wrongsection and moved us. Our waitress was nice but she wasn’t the most attentive. Well, since my husband and I visited in February this year, I’m sure the Covid situation has impacted the service. There... seemed to be several workers but a little of the cordiality was missing - The manager on duty who was also our server wasfriendly and efficient- adjusted our bill accordingly for my husband’s entree that was undercooked at the bone in part- Thechef should know to cut a tiny bit along side a steak to achieve a well done but not burnt steak. My ribeye was excellent andout house salads were freshly prepared and actually very very good. The music was really loud even though this is the standardfor this chain. The meat display locker at the entrance was dirty- I was really surprised- even though no food was in thelocker. My husband had really looked forward to coming but he was really disappointed in his steak. We do plan to come back butit will be awhile.I’m not sure if people like myself who don’t appreciate the noise level would want this experience but ifa person can and want a decent steak at a reasonable price(12 ounce ribeye entree, 20 ounce bone in ribeye entree and two drinks$58 plus tip), this is worth trying. Also, easily accessible off the Durham NC I-85 guess road exit- also located to severalstores and a couple of fast food places, Costco and not to far from a major hospital and accommodations- easy parking -accessible friendly- the entrance doors are a little heavy for me to open. This is our favorite spot for a great steak. Their chilli is always good too. Best sweet potato I've had in awhile. There's... always a wait here. That's the only downside. Best steak I've had since moving to NC from NJ. Hands down. I highly recommend. Read more
The food in this place is very good, I have even had the opportunity to go to one of these restaurants in another country and... the quality is the same. I regularly go to the restaurant in Apex, but this one is closer to me now and we decided to go.Logically the food is VERY good, but the service was slow, not bad but slow. That's why the sign they have inside the employeearea caught my attention, which I took a photo of, but I think they sometimes forget about it. Read more
I was so impatient. I understand the staff may be under staff so I tired to bare with the staff. My waiter was so busy. My host... Jade, kept checking on me. She made me feel important. To start things out the lady that greeted use wasn't professional at all. If we are required to wear a mask till we are seated... why are the workers not required to wear their mask properly. I seen serveral employees wear their mask below their nose. Also Iordered my steak medium well, it came out medium. So I didn't eat my steak. Never seen a manager except for when he was singinghappy birthday to an employee and announcing that the person was his new assistant. I am from Grover NC, Texas Roadhouse inGastonia NC is my favorite place to eat. But the one in Durham NC is not a place I will visit again. In my opinion the managerisn't doing his job. Much like any of the Texas roadhouses wherever you go. We had a great experience at this Texas Roadhouse. The server was great.... Management came around and asked if everything was good several times. The food was above even their normal good food. Wouldrecommend this Texas Roadhouse again. My grandsons love Texas Roadhouse so we will probably visit the next time we're in NorthCarolina. Read more
