Stopped in for lunch, there was a line but service was fast and everything was nice and clean. My bf got the brisket sandwich... with Mac and cheese and hush puppies, I got the sliced turkey, I had to order it by the pound so I got a half pound, Mac andcheese and deviled eggs. Everything was very good, it was a little pricey but that was mostly because of them not selling theturkey as a plate (even though it was on the menu) and only by the pound. Read more
First time eating from here. We had the St. Louis ribs, Mac and Cheese, baked beans, collard greens, bush puppies, and fried... okra. The ribs and baked beans were on point! The stars of the meal. The hush puppies were a bit dry. Tastes great if dipped inthe extra sauce that was given. Everything was just okay. I'm not a fan of okra but I did try it. We randomly stopped here while traveling and it was a great little taste of the south. We tried the chicken, brisket, pulled... pork and ribs and they were all delicious. We also sampled several sides and they did not disappoint. Ordering was at thecounter so it was nice and quick. We didn't have to wait through table service and were able to continue on our road trip. Read more
This place gets a solid five stars. It helped my anxious sole to have the large menu display outside the store. So many options,... it was heaven. I recommend sharing a plate if traveling with a friend or partner! Hush puppies were out of this world. I thinkthe secret is the shape?you taste a perfect blend of crunchy and chewy. I wish there was a Baby Back Rib option instead of St.Louis, but still so good! Read more
All we can say is WOW! If you are trying to decide where to get BBQ in Durham, this is it!!! This was an amazing meal. We got... very large potions of both meat and sides. It was incredibly tasty and tender meat. Everything was very enjoyable. We will lookforward to returning again. You will not regret stopping here to eat. We are very big eaters, had a mid-afternoon meal, took some home, and it still kept us full until we went to bed at 11:00! We didn?t have to wait in line at that time, but this placeseems very busy! Good value and good food. Pretty packed on a hot summer Tuesday evening. Meat was delicious, served very quickly, and at more... than fair prices. I had a pork plate with Cole slaw and jalapeño deviled eggs for $11. There are a few beers and soft drinks tochoose from. The staff was correct. Lots of places to sit, indoors (which has air conditioning) and outdoors (which is coveredbut can be pretty hot). Read more
Here on training in the area and this little place was just what we wanted. Plenty of outdoor covered patio seating and... uncovered options. Also seating inside although on the smaller side was roomy enough. The food is what stole the show and theirbrisket and chopped pork legs were the group favorites. Good Carolina southern style bbq was delicious. The sides were good aswell like the hush puppies and Mac & cheese but the banana pudding was just excellent. Cheers!! Read more
An average place with a good barbecue. Nothing over the top and nothing super special. Service is very fast and prices are... decent for what they offer. Every time I go here I know what to expect - fast service and good food. I'm never impressed butalso never go hungry. Ribs are good, pulled pork is just okay. Hush puppies are 4/5.
