I really enjoyed this experience. I loved the service, the food, and just the ambiance of the place. The waiter was super... attentive and friendly. They bring home made biscuits to every table with homemade jam. The French toast was some of the bestI?ve ever had. The peaches and cream was so delicious. I took off one star because I wasn?t a fan of the sausage patty and Iasked to scrambled well eggs but they were a little runny. Otherwise, amazing home cooking. Read more
This is a beautiful black owned establishment. The decor is nice, but there is a true lacking in customer service. I won?t go in... full detail of the entire situation but it could have been handled a lot better. The customer service is just not there. If youdon?t like your food even if you haven?t eaten it, you will be expected to pay. Which is understandable but it should also bePRINTED on the menu so people can know ahead of time. The food had great presentation but it probably isn?t a place I would goagain. I am not going to bash this company, this family, working together for their dream. But across the board customer serviceneeds to be the forefront of any business. The fact that cops were brought up and license plates were being written down afterone in a party of 3 left the building to cool down is just sad, we (2)were still sitting at the table waiting to pay. Fabulous find! Only place I could find that was open early on Saturday morning for breakfast besides Waffle House or ihop. If... you want boring Americana breakfast you probably won?t like this place. Hearty and rich textures and unique flavors. We wereasked to scan the menu upon arrival so I imagine their menu rotates regularly. Everything sounded SO GOOD. It was hard to pickone. I ordered the coconut honey sriracha chicken and waffles?.????????????. My partner got the ultimate biscuits and gravy withduck gravy. Neither of us could finish our plates. Great place to fuel up for day drinking or long adventures. Absolutely willreturn to sample more food items. Edit to add: the location is very small inside. If you are a large group (more than 4), youmight have to wait for a table. Read more
If I could give this Diner 10 stars, I would! The space is tiny but so very quaint. I feel like I had gone back in time a bit.... It was spotless, and the service was fabulous. The food choices on the menu were as southern as you could get. We receivedcomplimentary buttered biscuits as we waited for our food. YUM Remember the space is small, and you most likely will encountersome wait time, BUT you can order yours as takeout. That's my 2¢ now you decide! Read more
The service was excellent! Grits were so creamy, biscuits so fluffy, and food all around good. So close to my job and never... knew! We came when they first opened, so there was no wait time and plenty of time to ask about menu favorites. Definitelycoming again. Read more
Service: Service is good considering how packed they were. The server is very knowledgeable about the food and gives... recommendations. Food: Coconut Honey Chicken - if you like super sweet food, i say go for it. If not, then stay away. Thehomemade biscuit is crunchy, the chicken is crispy and compounded with how sweet the honey BBQ is, 2 bites in and my teethhurts. Short Ribs Egg Benedict - Its ok, nothing extraordinary. I dont think the hollandaise and the rib sauce matches verywell. It leaves a sour after taste. Triple Pork Biscuit - The portion is huge. When the server was bringing it over sheactually toppled it over and had to bring it back to the kitchen to get it fixed. Its towering. However, bigger is not alwaysbetter, and this one is one of them. Its huge, its hard to eat. Just by biting or cutting into it, everything falls apart andleaves a mess on your plate. Love the staff . First impressions are very important. Very attentive but not too much. The were able to recommend me... breakfast choices without hesitation. Decided to get the ground turkey skillet. Out of this world flavor pallet. Ranges frommild spuxe,sauce, and salty tied well into the eggs. Iver all the only let down which wasn't bad by any means was the coffee. If you have amazing food and sub par coffee it's time to up your coffee game. The food was really good! We had 2 of their breakfast biscuits. My wife and I were a little confused because we heard they were... known for their chicken and waffles, but they apparently didn?t have it in their menu that day. Not much explanation about it,but we just went with it. Their complementary biscuits are great as well. I would definitely recommend people to come here for agood breakfast, but I strongly recommend you get there before 11:00am if you want to have a great service experience. Therestaurant closes at 2pm, and it felt like the employees were trying to be out of there and done with everything by 2pm. We gotthere at 12:30pm. They sat us down at 1:20pm. The waiter was rushing us to order something, and we only been sitting less than3mins at this point. After they told us that they didn?t have chicken and waffles, we told him that we 2 more minutes todecided. The waiter gave us a look, looked back at the kitchen, look backed at us and said, ?they are closing the kitchen, soyou probably want to order? it was still 1:25pm at this point. Didn?t really appreciated the body language and rush to order inthat matter. They got us our food and out of there by 1:45pm, which is 25mins from when we sat down. They turned people downafter 1:30pm. All this to say, Definitely go try it out, but GO EARLY! Read more
