Not worth the price and don’t order the fish! that was the theme of everything we ordered. We regularly go to fine dining... restaurants and at 70-80 dollars for top end dishes you should expect top of the line quality and service. My wife got thehalibut at first, it came out as a long thinner filet that was very very overcooked to where it was almost inedible, the bite weeach took was rubbery, very salty as was the broth. We requested a new dish as we were concerned that broth would not be anybetter, wanting fish she switched to the salmon which came out very similar as a long thinner filet which was fried to a crispOn the ends. If I had ordered this as my first dish I would have sent it back but my wife was very hungry at this point and itwas less overcooked then the halibut and seasoned okay. Pretty much any 20 dollar salmon I’ve gotten from any restaurant wouldhave been better and a third the price. I got the rack of lamb, the dish itself had good flavor and was well put together,however the lamb shanks were small cuts and some were overcooked but not dry but for a 60 dollar rack of lamb it did not meet myexpectations. The chocolate torte dessert was equally average just a thrown together not fine dining dessert. Each dish was60-70$. We really wanted to like this place being in our local town but will likely not be back. Read more
Worst “fine dining” experience of my life. Zero flavor. Decor could potentially be charming if it was backed up by almost... anything else… Massively overpriced. Left and immediately grabbed something at the grocery store to satiate even though thebill was $300+. Just absolute unjustified Insanity…and fyi, i paid $350 at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. The setting is perfect. The menu looks great and the drinks as well…. The drinks were all off and not like they should be. The... food sound great but it was totally off. Overcooked, to much oil, too much garlic to a point that you can not eat it. Veryoverpriced for the quality of the food. Maybe the cook has COVID and can not taste his food. But it was horrible. Just found my favorite restaurant! We spent our anniversary here and this is the most innovative place we have been to in... several years! They kept a separate menu that they updated weekly. This is how your know their chef is always on top ofthings. From the truffle pop corn to the richest bone marrow, smoked cocktail to kangaroo meat, we really enjoyed a memorablenight, and I’m marking this place as my new favorite and going to broadcast it to all my friends! Celebrated a friend's birthday. An enjoyable meal with unconventional choices and an opportunity to try different things. Not... crowded later on a Wednesday evening. The regular menu was complemented with this month's (?) specials and a Wednesday "3(courses) for $30". We had cocktails, shared apps, entrees and desserts. Good service. Enjoyed it. Read more
I took my dear friends to celebrate my birthday recently to the Duvall Flavor Bistro and our experience was fantastic! The food... was very tasty, my seafood paella was full of salmon, clams, shrimp, and other delicious fish, we shared two delicious saladsand our non-alcoholic drinks were refreshing and complementary to the whole meal. I would also recommend their salmon chowderwhich my son and I have enjoyed in the past, and frankly all the meals I have had there have always been great! In short, thetimes that I have gone to the Flavor Bistro, we have not been disappointed! It is pricey, so it's not a place I can go tooften, but for my special occasion it was perfect. At the end of our meal we shared a delicious cheesecake which they dressedbeautifully. I do wish the life-music (which was good in itself!) would have been a bit less loud (our table was a bit tooclose to where the band was playing), but even this part of the experience, combined with the very good service was enjoyable. It was a very disappointing dining experience. I highly anticipated to eat unique food by looking at the menu, but every dish... was too salty or oily. They were overpriced, too. (i.e. a tiny salmon dish was $60!) The service was super slow and it wasfreezing cold where we sat. I asked the server to heat up the room but nothing much changed. I thought we could have found anice restaurant for the special occasion but we won't come back again. It was an unfortunate dinner for us. Read more
