As part of the Misfits Hospitality Collective, the drinks here or bar none. Volstead house may be at the top of all drinks,... especially in the south metro. Their new menu is that rather limited, and the lack of choice and price is rather disappointing.Even more disappointing is their unwillingness to let you order from burgers and bottles which is attached to it and has thesame kitchen. They used to allow it, but not anymore. The drinks are probably popular enough, but this change in menu andability to order food may make me reconsider going back. Great little hidden gem! Service was a little slow but she did good after I got my food. Good vibe, not a whiskey guy so I got... their vodka drink and it was absolutely nasty. Tasted like dill seasoning and vodka. The prohibition burger was PHENOMENAL! thesauce they use is perfect and even though its a triple its not too big. Fries were also pretty good! My wife took me out for an early birthday dinner and drinks for our first visit here and we had a great experience! We tried the... smoked Manhattan, Don't mind if I don't and a sample flight of Scotches. We ate the blackened tenderloin tips, smoked brisketegg rolls and a Volstead burger and all were great. I asked our server to help put together a flight of scotches based on mypast favorite ever, Balvenie 21 portwood, and she knocked it out of the park! Great service, food, drinks and atmosphere. Visited tonight and had so much fun! First off, you need reservations, this place is hopping and popular. The atmosphere and... setting are just so cool and well done, and the wall of booze is beautiful to behold. Service was prompt and very friendly, A+. The custom made cocktails are without a doubt stupendous and the whiskey menu is long and bring your glasses for the tinyprint. I would recommend the "Don't mind if I dont", the "Devil Made me do it" is an acquired taste like drinking a cigar(check out the pics with the Bible it comes in). And finally you owe it to yourself to get a smoked Manhatten or Old Fashionedbecause of how it comes in the smokey box! Edit, Sept 2022: still great! The best cocktails we have had in the Minneapolis area. Consistently. The mixologists bring a lot to the experience, know how to... create a great cocktail and share their knowledge. The drink menu changes throughout the year. It?s hard to try other drinkswhen the Old Fashioned and the Smoked Manhattan are so well done every time. Worth the drive! Stumbled upon this place on a quick trip to town. Really enjoyed it. Cocktails where amazing and the whiskey selection was... awesome. Had some outstanding offerings with out breaking the budget.
