Rice is just good!!! They are fast, friendly, and one of the nicest up scale yet relaxed places to dine. They have great... appetizers and a fantastic array of menu items sure to please even the most finicky pallet. Parking can be tough during peakmeal times, so I suggest an early dinner or late lunch. It's hard to find sushi restaurants in the Boise area that don't have cream cheese on and in everything. This was clean and... fresh. Not the fanciest, but at least it wasn't slathered in superfluous sauces. Entrees were good too and our server was great. Read more
Sushi here is outstanding. Try the sashimi bowl... various cuts of fish served on a bowl of ice...Nice presentation. Update:... Have had lunch here about a dozen times now. Prices still reasonable…food always consistent…and good service as well. Try asalmon skin hand roll…not on the menu Read more

I've ordered takeout from Rice a couple times now, and they have yet to let me down. I love how large their menu is - seriously,... it takes me forever to decide what I want, the options are nearly endless! The first time I ordered, I chose the India ChickenTikka Masala curry (chicken in an India tikka yogurt based curry sauce served with basmati rice and Naan flat bread with mangosalad dipping sauce, $16.99), also requesting it be level 5 spice. Surprisingly, the spiciness met my expectations and didn'tburn my taste buds raw, but they were tingling! The chicken was cooked perfectly, not tough at all. The overall flavor of thedish was exceptionally delicious and perfectly flavored. The mango salad dipping sauce was superb! Blended very well with thewarm, fluffy slices of naan. On my second take out order, I decided to try their sushi menu. I must admit, I was a tiny bitskeptical at first when I noticed some their sushi rolls had lettuce, and I avoided those. I ordered the Little Dragon roll(spicy tuna, asparagus, & cucumber topped with hamachi, avocado, & masago mixed with tempura flakes, spicy mayo, lemon sauce, &eel sauce, $14.95) with steamed mixed veggies ($3.00). Wow, I was so surprised how pretty the roll was! It was so eye-catchingand beautifully presented, even as take out. Alas, I cannot say it tasted as great as I had hoped. I found it kind of flavorlessand loaded up the wasabi, ginger slices and soy sauce. It was okay, I wouldn't order it again. A+ for presentation, B forexecution. The steamed veggies were nice! Overall, Rice isn't bad at all. They definitely have some strong menu items, andothers that could use improvement. I will be back to try more! Read more
UPDATE: Really, Rice?!?! REALLY?!?! This (pictured) was $20!!!!! No joke!!! I can’t believe how pathetic these portions are... and how much they charged me... The portions and quality have been going downhill. This is the last straw for me. Now you’veofficially lost this frequent customer, Rice. I’d be laughing at my humorously minuscule dinner if I wasn’t so upset aboutit... I ordered soup with dumplings. The soup was good but, the noodles tasted alittle different. Next time I'll order rice noodles.... My hubby had Pho. It didn't have much in it. The roll we had was yummy, it was honey and spicy. Our waitress was great andreally nice. Went to use the restroom and there was stuff stacked up. The restaurant could use alittle cleaning but, over all itwas a good experience. Read more
Food was excellent! We had leek cashew chicken and ginger tenderloin. Absolutely amazing! Service was excellent.
