This is a gem of a place that I never knew existed. I drive by the golf course every so often and have never paid attention that... there's a restaurant right on the corner. The food was really good, and the service was great, and the people were extremelyfriendly, service was fast exactly what we ordered and it was good! It's definitely a place I will stop at next time I'm on myway to Emmett. I highly recommend The Flats 16 Restaurant. Read more
First time here only the bartender was working and she did a wonderful job serving us. I ordered a sandwich and my family member... ordered a salad and we all enjoyed our meals. Inside they have tv?s and the outside is absolutely stunning. Read more
Hate to leave bad reviews, but needed to let local public know my husband got severe food poisoning here after an early Father's... day meal on Saturday. Steak Tacos- was violently ill for 48 hrs. Coming from someone who very rarely is ever sick. Verydisappointing to the tune of $70! Luckily me and my 2 year old and 11 month old didn't eat anything! I tried a bite and spit itout bc it tasted so awful. WARNING- CONSUME AT OWN RISK. or better yet AVOID THEM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE! I contacted the manager tolet her know and she was not very helpful at all. Submitted food poisoning to CDC Idaho. hopefully in efforts to protect othersfrom getting sick! Read more
Very Disappointed, and LOOK AT YOUR BILL VERY CLOSELY BEFORE YOU SIGN IT! I don't normally bother with posting reviews unless... something is REALLY BAD. The Shrimp Stir Fry was mostly white rice with a few vegetables around it & 1/2 dozen mid size staleshrimp, my mixed drink was in the smallest goblet I have ever seen, and my wife had to remove the pulled pork out of the corntortillas smothered with unions to try to enjoy her "snack". We were both very hungry, so we did our best to enjoy what we had,and not to complain. But then the service was so very slow; the young waitress was toting her four year old son around with herfrom table to table (which was cute, but it just made everything a little slow). Still not complaining, we just had to waitagain for quite a while to pay for our meal and we hardly saw our waitress in between, and even after we had already receivedour bill ($51.41) which sat there for another 10-15 minutes. I still wouldn't have bothered to post this review, EXCEPT whenthe waitress FINALLY came to take my card she "unilaterally" added a 25% tip to the total before handing it to me to sign. Iwas going to leave cash on the table but she had coyly added the tip herself, which wasn't the worst of it... what was worst,was that she tried to HIDE the tip entry with her hand over the device, while she handed it to me so I could sign it. That partof the TOTAL that I could see was ALSO suggesting that I press a button for AN ADDITIONAL 20% or 30% tip. I took the devicefrom her hand, looked at the total, realized she had ALREADY tipped herself, and rather than make a scene in front of her littleboy I just signed it... 25% is about 5-10% more than I usually leave for mediocre service; it was just really annoying that shehad already tipped herself and somehow decided that I had STUPID written on my forehead, and I wouldn't NOTICE that she wastrying to get ANOTHER 20-30% ON TOP OF THAT! My last review of the Flats 16 was a 5 star. Best meal I had eaten! This year, our Valentine's Day Weekend dinner, did not come... close to meeting our high hopes based on past visits. It was quite disappointing, actually. The atmosphere was very loud, but,upbeat and as anticipated. The staff were quite busy, but, lagged a bit and neglected to check back much towards the end of ourevening. We know that the post covid world we live in has created a lot of staffing shortages, so, we weren't upset about thedelay. The cocktails were amazing! Strong and flavorful. I had a traditional Cosmo and my husband got a martini that wasessentially a Mudslide with a touch of creme de menthe. Totally delightful! The food was served and the presentation was great.My husband and I ordered two dishes to share, Pork Chops with asparagus and loaded mashed potatoes, and Shrimp Linguini, theValentine's Day Specials. Upon the first cut, it was apparent that our pork chops had been severely over cooked. They were likehockey pucks and they almost had a processed taste. The texture wad that of a dry boiled meat. When we examined them closer, webecame pretty certain that they were pre-cooked chops with the grill marks painted on them. I genuinely hope I'm wrong, but, Idon't think I am. They were completely unseasoned and had it not been for the tasty, sweet cran-apple chutney on top, wewouldn't have eaten them at all. My husband didn't want to let $32 pork chops go to waste, so, he ate them anyways. We reallyaren't picky eaters so for me to leave a negative review, they had to be pretty disappointing. The loaded mashed potatoes werealso beautiful in appearance and the smokey bacon bits on top were tasty, but, I think they neglected to put butter orseasoning on them, which made the tater beneath the toppings extremely dry and flavorless. Food was great (Cuban sandwich), nice beer selection, lots of room outside for the kids to play, but very loud. Needs some... tapestries or something. (is that something people still use??) Flats 16 is such a cool venue. The food is fine, nothing amazing. Our server last night was amazing. Bar didn?t have any coffee... for hot drinks like Spanish or Irish Coffee, not Hot Chocolate for booze drinks?. Seems like a basic for Idaho in the winter. Might need a revamp or seasonal adjustments. Read more
