Odd man rush definitely has better beer but Matanuska serves food so it?s 50/50. All in all matanuska has some decent brew for... sure and there fries with their brew is great! The atmosphere can be chaotic at busy times but other than that is very nice. Thestaff are always super helpful and they do a good range between dark porter/stouts and IPA?s for sure. These guys have great beer and a pretty nice atmosphere, I LOVED the pizza menu. Some genius over there decided to COMPLETELY... overhaul the menu and now it absolutely sucks. The Pizza is all uninspired meat-centric pizzas, and they cut out most of theirburgers. I went here every other week, but given the new menu I don?t think I?ll be returning at all unless they bring backsome of the better, original menu items. Read more

The food was underwhelming and cold. We ordered pork belly burnt ends. They were not smoked for hours, they were fried. I assure... that cracklins are not remotely close to burnt ends. The cracklins arrived with bbq sauce and sour cream drizzled on them. Whoputs sour cream on this dish?! We were so disappointed. My wife ordered the chicken & brussel sprouts. The chicken was overcooked and flavorless, the brussel sprouts were cold and there wasn?t very much bacon. We sent the dish back because it wascold. It came back on the chicken was a little warmer, it was still dry and bland. The vast majority of the brussel sprouts werecold. Don?t waste your time or money here. Read more

Ordered 4 single pancakes 2 eggs Bennie and 3 drinks. Total was $90. We were the second table seated in the morning. It took 20... minutes for them to plate and serve 3 pancakes. Then 5 min later one Bennie came out.(cold) 5 minutes later the other Benniecame out. The food was cold!! If you are going to charge $100 for breakfast for two adults and three kids it better be hot anddelicious. This food was less than appealing on the plate and cold to the touch. How long do hash browns have to sit to becomecold? I had to ask the host to remove cups and plates to make room on our table to eat. (4 person table that they seated 5 at. I really want to endorse this restaurant but unfortunately I had a bad experience. I got told to sit anywhere by a waitress when... I walked in (which I did) and about 30 seconds after I sat down I got BARKED at by who I suspect was the owner/manager. I was bymyself and instead of nicely asking me to sit at the bar she loudly announced I was in the wrong spot but she would ALLOW itTHIS time and walked off leaving me totally embarrassed? I almost left. Instead I got up and went to the bar (which seemed toirritate her). Everyone else working there was perfectly pleasant and my meal was amazing. I was surprised how empty this placewas for a Saturday evening but it maybe has something to do with the management. I hope my next experience is better. Read more

Everything was fine until I left the restaurant but forgot my food I intended to bring home, because I couldn't eat the majority... of it. I had gone to the restroom before leaving. Then I waited on my friend to use it before leaving out with her. Once I gotto my car, I realized I'd left my to-go box. I got in my car at the back of the restaurant and drove to the front of it and wentonside to ask about my food. The table we had been seated was cleared off but the waitress or hostess said they didn't know whathappened to it. I asked if anyone had thrown it away. The nonchalant response was...yeah, likely. I was not happy about it,because I don't like to waste money or food. In addition, I was still in the restaurant for enough time for the person whocleared off the table to try to give me my food. This will be a two part review.... 06/05/21 We called ahead and asked if a party of 12 could be accommodated, we were told yes... and I let our other party know. My coworker was visiting her son and his family who are newly stationed here and she wasreturning home that night, and I arrived Friday evening to visit my kids who are also stationed here in Alaska. We thoughtthis would be a great way to introduce them and strike up a new friendship. 1: We arrived and were waiting for our tables to beready, we were taken upstairs to the bar and to our surprise tge tables were not able to move so our party of twelve wereseated at 3 different tables defeating the purpose of or families talking to each other and interacting together. 2: Our orderswere taken and then began the wait, our drinks took a bit as well, although I will say the Whiskey Sour I ordered was very good. The food finally came for some of the tables, we ordered more pretzel bites and those came to the table before the two otherFood orders arrived. Sadly the orders were not placed until it was too late as my coworker needed to be at the airport. Whenthe food Finally arrived it was time to leave. The food was Amazing and you get plenty, I truly wish the rest of our party hadbeen able to experience that. On another note they have a different section outdoors with ax throwing, live band and food. Wemay give that a try. I recommend, but just be prepared to wait. Read more
