AMAZING!! Compared to Trembley's across the street. Tried: 1/2 lb each of chocolate and Maple fudge (both Trembleys and... Country Store). The winner: if you like softer, creamier fudge - Country Store. Both tasted amazing! Like it should inWisconsin. The Country Store also had a much better old time candy selection, and the old lemon drops were incredible! Alsotried at bot locations, the Cashew Brittle. OMG WOW - clear winner - Country Store. Amazing taffy apples, their sponge candy is amazing too. The caramel was old and hard, a far cry from the guy behind the counter... saying it was the best anywhere and it melts in your mouth. It actually had a slight crunch due to drying out. I personallywouldn?t have hyped it up like that unless I knew it was fresh lol overall this is one of the awesome little candy shops inEagle River and a must if you are looking for a gift for someone that has a sweet tooth. They have tons of old fashioned candiesand unlike Tremblay?s, they are open regardless of the season. Read more
