The shakshouka is sooo good. It?s like a cross between shakshouska and chana masala. Eagle Rock has a cute little downtown, so... it?s very charming. Read more

What is it with northeast LA and arugula? On the side of my breakfast I got a $4 side of a pair of sunnyside eggs, which, you... know? I get it. Rent is expensive. I knew what I was signing up for getting breakfast at this hipster place in Eagle Rock. Butthe two beautiful eggs with dark yellow yolks that looked like they were laid that morning by a chicken with a name? The eggswere served on a bed of salty arugula. It was impossible to eat them without getting this grassy weed taste which completelyoverpowered the eggs, which I'm sure would have been delicious, followed by a bitter aftertaste that lingered for severalminutes until the rest of my breakfast arrived. They didn't even put some tomatoes on the side to cut the flavor. For $4 ifyou're gonna put arugula under my eggs, you need to cut the flavor with something. Nice sweet cherry tomatoes, just a couple, would have been great. I hope your chef reads this. Read more

The food was tasty, but not very mind blowing. I tried the truffling good and was not too crazy about the dish. I felt it was a... bit too oily. I did really like the ube cheesecake and the vegan chili cheese fries. I almost forgot the fries were vegan! Thedrinks were ok as well. Beautiful presentation but some of them tasted like Minute Maid lemonade. I tried the prickly pearcocktail and mai tai. However, the service and overall ambience is a 5/5 and I would definitely come back to try some of theirdraft beers. Read more

Wonderful vegan menu with a nice open cooking and assembly area. The food was quite good even though the portions were a little... on the skimpy side. We arrived at 9:00 in the morning and the glass surrounding the assembly area and the windows to theoutside could have been a lot cleaner. This always makes me wonder what attention to cleanliness is paid in the kitchen. Read more

Was excited to try this place, unfortunately there is cross contamination in the kitchen and all the savory food items listed as... GF on the menu are not actually gluten free / celiac safe. The GF muffins and cakes ???? use separate bowls and utensils so Itried a hazelnut muffin. Make their own cashew milk ???? and had run out ??????? Has potential, not quite there. Read more
